VICTORY IN SPIRITUAL WARS

Post date: May 27, 2014 4:00:32 AM

Did you know that your genuine salvation through Christ was a battle already won over the enemies of your spirit, soul and body? Did you know that protecting that salvation by walking in faithfulness to God in all things will guarantee a continuous celebration of that victory? Like your salvation, your victory was sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary long before the situation you are experiencing today come to be in your life, and you should have the victory through Christ your redeemer.

Though we live in the flesh, we cannot, and should not engage in spiritual warfare against the devil and his agents using the thoughts and materials of the flesh. Using fleshly methods in spiritual warfare will prolong the battle, and you will never be victorious. When you spend your time and days in hatred, anger, malice, gossips, jealousy and foul languages, the Holy Spirit of God will be absent in the battles of your life and you will not have the victory you deserve. You have no contract with failure and physical weapons do not win spiritual battles.

“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:10-18

Unfortunately, many of us live in hatred, anger, malice, and wickedness when engaged in spiritual battles, this makes us vulnerable to more attacks and defeat by the devil. Though we are not fighting with flesh and blood, we are definitely fighting strong evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world on earth, we are fighting against mighty powers in this dark world, fighting against evil spirits in the heavenly places who are cloth with human flesh and blood and had vowed to destroy us by any means available to them.

The weapons of our warfare are made effective in prayers and a continuously living in complete surrender to Jesus Christ, guided and directed by the true word of God and not by any of our feelings and the words of men. If your feelings lead you in a spiritual warfare, you will fail, but when the God leads you through His Spirit, you will have victory. There are no battles in this world that God will not win, none that He will ever regret being involved in, and there are no situations that He cannot deliver you from and give you the victory that exalts his name. Maintaining God’s victory in your life is God’s every day concern. God does not want you to relapse in grace and fellowship, but that is what happens when some people have victory.

Victory is sweet when it is well protected, maintained and used appropriately in the services of the Almighty Father. God gives victory so we will have the freedom to glorify and worship Him before men. He does not give us victory for self-exaltation and to oppress, show superiority, and power over others. He gives us victory so we can, through that victory draw others to praise His name. When God’s victory in you fails to produce humbleness in character, pride sets in to destroy thereafter.

A life of truth in all situations, righteousness, faith and faithfulness to God and men, obedience, submitting oneself to every word of God and a life of persistent prayer are weapons that guarantee victory in every battle. Go and be very victorious. For prayers, Click here
