GIVE ME SUCCESS BEYOND THIS PLACE LORD

The children of Israel went to Egypt to avert starvation where they were; before getting to Egypt, God had elevated one of them, Joseph to a leadership position because He knew others will come soon. While in Egypt, God prepared a city called Goshen to be the place they will dwell and He made all provisions available to them there including food and security. While in Goshen God gave them a temporal rest and satisfied; they increased beyond expectations in number and in physical strength; they increased in business and in relations with one another and with their host; they married and were given and taken in marriage. But despite the increases, the blessings of abundance of food and security, they were unable to serve their God as they desired and they did longed to do that, they were prohibited to offer sacrifices as they would have and they were limited in many things.

Beyond that, they were not recognized in the land and were treated as slaves and instruments to be used excessively and dumped; in Goshen, they were without a future and ambition; but despite their plights, increased labor, torture and daily humiliation, they were eager to see their God; they never lost hope and never forgo their expectation that their God will one day set them free; take them out and resettle them in the land He had promised their forefather Abraham long before they were born. Irrespective of its goodness, you know this is not the place God had promised you through Christ Jesus? Did you know that unemployment, lack, endless struggles to meet up with your professional board exams/test are not the place God had promised you when He saved you, called you up and out and enabled you to have the formal and informal education, training and gave you a vocation that you now have. sickness, loneliness, barrenness, tears and pains are not where and what God wants for you.

What did Israel do in their times of need and stalled success and what should you do now? The children of Israel did not give up their expectations in God, you should not; they never gave up any of their desires for freedom, you should not; they never gave up desiring the place that God had promised them through Abraham, you should not give up demanding a higher blessings as Christ had promised you; they never stopped finding time to pray despite all the hindrances, you should never give up praying; they never gave up knocking the doors of heaven with their petitions, and you should not. As God answered them, so will He answer you; as He delivered them, so will He deliver you; as He dealt with their Pharaoh, so will He do to your Pharaoh; as He took them out of shame and despair, so will He take you out of your shame and despair; as He led them through, so will He lead you through. As He did not change His mind because of the passage of time and season, so will He not change His mind concerning you because of the passage of time, season, age, and location. There are no situations that are permanent in His sight except the very best and He will not stop until you get the best that He had destined for you.

In His unending love, merciful acts and goodness, the Almighty God through divine intervention brought the children of Israel out of Egypt; out of the land of their continuous oppression after being there for four hundred and thirty years. He will not leave you in a stalled success place, but will take you over this place as He did for the children of Israel when they prayed. “The Lord said, I have in fact seen the affliction, suffering, desolation of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; for I know their pain and suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a land that is good and spacious, to a land flowing with milk and honey to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Now behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me; and I have also seen how the Egyptians oppress them. Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, and then bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” Exodus 3:7-12. For prayers, Click here
