Because of its painful and shameful nature, no one is ever expected to ask or pray for any form of misfortune irrespective of its magnitude. It is amazing to know that when dealing with ourselves, we are positive minded, but we must definitely take that indwelling dominant positive strength further if we will ever have a turnaround in our time and days of disappointments. Precious stones are not found on the surface of the earth. Though we expect to be blessed everywhere and time, we have to know that it is not impossible for our God to do. We have to realize that often times, opportunities disguises itself as a painful disappointment before opening up as the surprised expected and appointed blessing. Despite the number of our disappointments in life, God will never look down on us, and will never reject us because we were disappointed in something we expected. Many had been disappointed and have refused to get past the memories thereby holding themselves longer in the captivity of disappointment than expected. If you cannot get pass your disappointing past sooner, you will not be able to embrace your future early as God had promised you. What you do when disappointed matters much to all believers, to the church, to your family, and to your nation. This is where that positive attitude in you is most needed and very useful. Many have committed suicide after a disappointment but you should not. Many have lost the hope of ever recovering but you should not. Yur expected future is still very possible despite the disappointments.

Many have cursed themselves and are regretting such actions but should not. Some have abandoned their spouses, children, and family and relocated to places where people will not know them only to experience the same thing again, but you should not do this. Many have gone as far as committing crimes that is hunting them and their family but you should not do this. You should know and also believe that in every disappointment you will ever experience, there is an opportunity waiting to be discovered and explored to your overall benefit because your God can turn things around fast without prior notice.

The divine, glorious, and ever memorable encounter between Jesus Christ and Peter began with Peter’s disappointment in his business that faithful previous night. Know it that despite all your disappointments in life, you will never miss your destiny and your place in the presence of God.

This is how the Apostleship of Peter began: “And He saw two boats drawn up by the lake, but the fishermen had gone down from them and were washing their nets. And getting into one of the boats, the one that belonged to Simon Peter, He requested him to draw away a little from the shore. Then He sat down and continued to teach the crowd of people from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon Peter, Put out into the deep water, and lower your nets for a haul. And Simon Peter answered, Master, we toiled all night exhaustingly and caught nothing in our nets. But on the ground of Your word, I will lower the nets again. And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish; and as their nets were breaking.” Luke 5:2-6

This is the reward of that disappointing night; “Then Jesus answered him, blessed, happy, fortunate, and to be envied are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades, the powers of the infernal region; shall not overpower it or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind, declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose, declare lawful on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven” Matthew 16:17-19. It is amazing to know that Peter started with one very disappointing night that gave him the opportunity of becoming one of the apostles of Christ Jesus. Your future can start now.
