There are many things the Holy Bible says you should never remember; you should completely erase from your mind, from your thoughts and from your focus; that you should not give them any priority place again in your life no matter how painful they were and or how humiliating they were. There are things that draw you back from looking forward and going forward; there are things that seek to hold you stagnant and unproductive; and there are things that renders you ineffective in fulfilling your dream future according to the words of God. These things may be present in your life right now and raising its head against you ir order to present you from doing what you are asked to do in the word of God for you this morning. Remember, there are many things in this life that God wants you to get pass them and to move beyond them. There are things that should at your back and not on your front and there are things that should not come near you ro near your dwellings as you are about to get to your point of joyful living.

To Jeremiah God asked him to forget his youthful age, forget his inability to speak and forget all of his fears in life as He was about to use him fulfill His plans and purpose in Israel and beyond. “Then I said, but, Lord God, I don’t know how to speak. I am only a boy. But the Lord said to me, don’t say, I am only a boy. You must go everywhere I send you and say everything I tell you to say. Don’t be afraid of anyone. I am with you, and I will protect you. This message is from the Lord.” Jeremiah 1: 6-8.

To Moses God told him to forget all of his past as he was about to take up a mission that had long been assigned to him; to forget the circumstances of his birth, to fort the circumstances of what lead him to the wilderness; the circumstances that lead to him doing an odd job; to forget that he ever killed someone earlier; to forget that he had ever lived in affluence in the palace with Pharaoh and had all he needed in life. God asked him to look forward and upward with all hope and assurance for a new grace and glory upon his life; God asked him to forget the problems in speech and to listen to him and carry out His instructions. “Then the Lord said, I have seen the troubles my people have suffered in Egypt, and I have heard their cries when the Egyptians hurt them. I know about their pain. Now I will go down and save my people from the Egyptians. I will take them from that land and lead them to a good land where they can be free from these troubles. It is a land filled with many good things. Many different people live in that land: the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. I have heard the cries of the Israelites, and I have seen the way the Egyptians have made life hard for them. So now I am sending you to Pharaoh. Go; Lead my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, I am not a great man, how can I be the one to go to Pharaoh and lead the Israelites out of Egypt? God said, You can do it because I will be with you. This will be the proof that I am sending you: After you lead the people out of Egypt, you will come and worship me on this mountain.” Exodus 3:7-12

To Peter God told him to forget that he was ever a failure in his fishing business, God told him to have a new focus and a new desire and to be with Him. “Jesus said to Simon; don’t be afraid, from now on your work will be to bring in people, not fish.” Luke 5:10. The power and grace in the new covenant is enough to cause a turnaround in your life forever for good. It had the ability to completely take away the former things in your life and replace them with things that are far better, far excellent, far beautiful and far praise worthy.

What old thing in your life is God asking you to forget now? Do some searching within yourself and refrain from resisting the spirit of God speaking to your heart now. Act now and expect the God of all possibilities to open up your new future and make easy that which had been too hard for you. For prayers, Click here For 2015 Praise and worship Click Here
