"WHAT GOD DID FOR ELIJAH. (1)"

Post date: Jul 30, 2018 2:21:51 AM

Did you know God is doing something with you and for you even in your current despicable and frustrating situation right now not minding your physical circumstances, the shame that Satan in his wickedness has caused in your life, the words of humiliation from friends, colleagues, family members, the rejection and loneliness and the silence you are experiencing from God despite all of prayers and fasting and waiting in various ways? It is true that God may be silent right now; you may even feel the rejection by Him because of the delays and the persistence of the troubles you have asked and trusted Him to address in your life, but yet all that you may know, think, feel or even heard from people around, God is still active in your case, active in your life, and He will definitely one day in the abundance of His love and endless mercies show you what He had done and what He will do again. You may be thinking you will end with this trouble and will never be freed from it, but God says you will never be entangled in it forever, you will get past it and you overcome it and you will have victory.

What God did for Elijah is different from what God did with Elijah. We have been told and we have heard several times what Elijah did with or what God did through Elijah but today we want to know what did for Elijah and what God will do for you using Elijah’s example. Remember, what God did before is a clear evidence of what He will do again and I am convinced that God can do in and for you what He had never done to anyone before. For Elijah to come out in the open and challenge King Ahab and all the children of Israel, God must have done something in his life personally and he was quite convinced in himself of what God had done. When you come out bold for God and ready to be submissive to His words in obedience and to surrender yourself willingly to His words, His ways, His commandments, and to fulfill what is required of you, God will also stand for you, stand with you, defend you, support you, provide for you, meet your needs and also supply you spiritual needs. Elijah was one of those who decided to follow God in obedience and in submissiveness and in humility despite his experience and what he knew will happen to him personally thereafter. He knew King Ahab and Jezebel will desire to kill him, the children of Israel will reject him, he will suffer unknown things and one last thing he knew was that God will be with and for Him. Elijah was not proud because he knew God and did not boast of himself in any way. God will be with you when you are out for Him.

God kept Elijah faithful at a time that Israel was sliding towards apostacy; faithfulness to God is dying in the hearts and ways of men today; faithfulness to ones parents, family, and friends is now considered foolishness and unnecessary; even faithfulness in the church and the household of God is now considered unnecessary, but God still requires and rewards faithfulness to those who will remain faithful in all things irrespective of location, profession, age, gender, wealth and orientation. God requires our faithfulness and He will definitely reward faithfulness. Elijah’s experienced loneliness, self-pity, and discouragement, yet, through God’s power, he was kept true and faithful to the end. Do you wonder if you can remain faithful to the end? Aske God and He will help you. Elijah’s God is our God and He will never fail in what He had called to do and say in His name. Elijah told King Ahab, “As surely as the Lord, the God of Israel lives, the God I serve, there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word.” 1Kings 17:1. Ask God to keep you faithfulness despite the troubles, the discouragements and the fears and He will do it. “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. God has said, I will never fail you, I will never abandon you. So we can say with confidence, the Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6.
