MY DREAMS AND THE WORD OF GOD. (4)

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Let Israel say, His love endures forever. Let the house of Aaron say, His love endures forever. Let those who fear the Lord say, His love endures forever. When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord, He brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? The Lord is with me; He is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.” Psalm 118:1-9. The love of God is guaranteed to be a blessing to everyone who believes, obey, and follow Him in truth, and through that love, He will speak and reveal His word to you. It was love that made God speak to Abraham and totally change his life, not his previous works; also it was love that made God send His angel to speak to Mary, not her works. Your works and all your dreams are good but in all cases, the word of God is far better. Your works can bless you in many ways, but the word of God has the power to protect the blessings and multiply them. Fears, worries, and uncertainties always accompany every work we do, but the word of God is true and without fear, worries, and uncertainties.

Do I turn to what God says or to what I already know, my own worries, fears, thoughts, dreams, or wisdom? Am I simply obeying, following, and repeating what God says to my situations or am I waiting for a dream or learning to truly hear Him again and respond after I have heard what He says? Is it true that sometimes dreams confirm His words and revelations? Yes sometimes it does, but the reality is that God wants us to hear, obey, and follow His word without waiting for and asking for a dream. That was what Abraham did, that was what Mary did and that was what the disciples did. This is the promise in His Word, I will never leave you - not for any reason that you know, not your sins, selfishness, stubbornness, nor waywardness. You have to hear God say to you that He will never leave you in His word, not in your dreams. If you have not heard that assurance from His Word, I pray you will hear again. I will never - forsake you. Sometimes it is not the difficulty of life but the troubles in it that makes us think God will forsake us.

Mary heard the news about what and who she will become; she heard the news about being not just a mother but the woman He has chosen to bring forth Jesus Christ to the world. She knew that she was a virgin and that will be her hindrance, but despite what she knew of herself, she accepted the word of God and thereafter, God made it possible for her. “The angel went to her and said, Greetings, you who are highly favored. The Lord is with you. Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, do not be afraid Mary, you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end. How will this be, Mary asked the angel since I am a virgin? The angel answered, the Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail. I am the Lord’s servant Mary answered. May your word to me be fulfilled. Then the angel left her.” Luke 1:28-38. God will follow up on every of His word for your life. He will make it possible with or without help from people. He has the power to fulfill all His words irrespective of the location, the resistance, the impossibilities, the challenges, and the delays. Mary did not ask for a dream to confirm what she heard; she did not ask for time to think it through and understand it; she accepted it immediately, and God fulfilled it thereafter.
