TRUSTING IN YOUR GOD

Because God gave you eyes, you will see many things; because God gave you ears, you will hear many things; because God gave you feelings, you will have many emotions, but despite what you see, what you hear, and what your emotions may be, never in any way let your trust in God waver by those things that you will come to see, hear and experience. Always endeavor to trust God in everything and for everything in every location, profession and situations. Trust God until the situation in question is changed. Remember, God will never change, but all things under the sun will definitely change, including whatever situation you may be experiencing.

Trusting God does not make you inferior in any way neither does it render your knowledge and ability ineffective. Your confidence in life, in your business, in your expectations, in your family, in your prayers and in your desires is built around what you trust. Beyond building your physical confidence, trust also gives life to your inner strength (spiritual strength), to your prayer life, it sustains your hope for better results, moves you beyond your fears and confusions to the realm of the actualization of your desires. It helps you develop and maintain the values you cherish

The secret of breakthrough even in difficult times and situations, of generating and maintaining strength to reach the finishing line in your dreams and pursuits, to sustain your visions and desires till they are fulfilled is in your decision to keep trusting God rather than man. The values that you will derive from working with good people are great but none can be compared to what you will receive by absolutely trusting in Gods while working with men.

One thing is quite evident with men; they are subject to similar condition as you, they change without notice if condition does not favor their continuous friendship. Their strength, knowledge and level of tolerance are very limited can snap at any time, but God is never limited in anything and His mercies endures forever. There is not situation that is above God’s knowledge and ability, none is too difficult for Him to address adequately according to His thoughts and plans for your life. Remember, out of nothing, He created all things, including the universe and everything in it; He also sustains all of His creations by His power.

Jeremiah 17:5-8 gave us the advantage of trusting God, and the disadvantage of trusting in man; “Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. Most blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.”

The benefits you receive in following God is in the level of your trust. He is not willing to hide anything from you, He is not willing to keep you away from His blessings and His goodness, when you trust God, He will commit certain things into your trust also. Trusting God changes all things, brings down His glory and His power, open the treasures of heaven for you.

“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn way from evil. It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones. Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency and with the firstfruits of all your income; So shall your storage places be filled with plenty, and your vats shall be overflowing with new wine.” Proverbs 3:5-10.
