THINGS GOD WANTS YOU TO KNOW (No. 04)

The fourth thing God wants you to know is the name of Jesus, why that name is important to Him and to us, and why that Name is given to all men in all places irrespective of nationality, gender, age, profession or situation. He wants us to know what the name is to Him, what that name had done for others, He wants us to know what that name will do for us and in us, and He wants our lives to be transformed by what we know in Him, what we believed, what we accept, and follow in Jesus Christ. “For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. There shall be no end to the increase of His government and of peace, He shall rule on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from that time forward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.” Isaiah 9:6-7

Did you know even Satan and everything else in the spiritual world fears that name? They know the name is from God and is God, they respect that name, their only problem is submissiveness to Him and accepting Him as their Lord. Everything in the spiritual world and everywhere else, all the gods of men in every location and their worshippers and followers in every place knows the impact of the name of Jesus but refuses to accept it or believe it or follow it. It is certain that only through Jesus Christ and only through the name of Jesus Christ that the fullness of God and of His plans and desires can be fulfilled and we can have all the spiritual and physical gifts and blessings to live and to do what God requires of us effectively and successfully. “For this reason also because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself, God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in submission, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, sovereign God, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11. The name of Jesus Christ is a great treasure, and a mighty divinely powered spiritual weapon used in fighting all spiritual, all physical, and all diabolical battles irrespective of its nature, it circumstance, its previous and present effects in the hands and on the tongues of all true believers. That name ignites our faith, ignites our knowledge, ignites our powers, ignites our effectiveness, ignites our purpose, ignites our usefulness and open all doors for the will of God to be fulfilled. The name of Jesus had been given to all men to use but that name is most effective for those who had believed Him, accepted Him and follow Him in submissiveness and obedience and faithfulness.

Did you know that irrespective of what people say and do, there is no alternative to the Name of Jesus Christ? “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation.” Acts 4:12. This was the promise in the days of Moses to Israel; “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me Moses from among you, from your countrymen. You shall listen to him. This is according to all that you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb Mount Sinai on the day of the assembly, saying, let me not hear the voice of the Lord my God again, nor see this great fire any more, so that I will not die. The Lord said to me, they have spoken well. I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command him. It shall come about that whoever will not listen to My words which He shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him and there will be consequences. But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.” Deuteronomy 18:15-20.
