WHAT GOD SAID TO MOSES

It is amazing to know that God did not in any way or form speak directly to Moses when he was in the house of Pharaoh enjoying all the comforts any one can think, but one thing was very evident in him, his heart was with God and his thoughts was the freedom of the children of Israel from oppressiveness, slavery, induced hardship and restless daily torture. God did not assign any duty for him to perform there and did not place any physical or spiritual or leadership demand on him throughout the forty years he spent in Pharaohs palace, but one thing was very evident, God was searching his heart to know if he will be willing to obey Him, if he will be willing to follow His instructions when given; if he will be willing to be submissive to Him; if he will be willing to sacrifice his comfort for the discomfort that will follow if He assigns a duty and a demand on him. We are grateful that Moses was proven to be the true person God was looking for to use in confronting Pharaoh with the divine demand of freedom for the children of Israel with the truth word of God and in leading Israel to satisfy their longing to worship God and dwell in the land that God had promised to Abraham.

Unfortunate today, Christians wants God to speak to them without first showing God a willing, humble, submissive and obedience heart. God is looking for a godly willing heart not a self-will heart; He is looking for a godly submissive heart, not a heart that will only submit when it is convenient and comfortable; He is looking for a heart that is ready for the inconvenience that will follow in obeying His words and following His demand, the discomfort and uncertainty that will follow in taking an unknown route in life; He is looking for heart that will not look back in regret but look forward for a reward and sustain a hope of the future irrespective of the situation.

When God saw the personal readiness in Moses heart, He took him to a place where he will be more receptive to divine instruction, more attentive to divine details and able to have a deeper comprehension of mission, of His words and His demands; and after forty years, God open his eyes to see a mystery and his ears to hear and gave him understanding of what He demands from him in the coming days and years, and without delay, without seeking personal gains, Moses completely surrendered to follow God’s words. And God said He had seen the afflictions, the oppression, the sufferings and had seen the pains of His people; He told him I have heard their cries and their prayers. God did not tell Moses I have seen your suffering since you left Pharaohs house or I have heard your prayers. It was all about His people and thank God Moses was one of them. God will no send you on a mission and exclude you from experiencing the benefits. He will not use you and keep you behind when the blessings come; He will not send you without making provisions for you to accomplish what He said. What is God demanding from you now?

The Lord said to Moses, “I have in fact seen the affliction, suffering, desolation of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters oppressors; for I know their pain and suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand and power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a land that is good and spacious, to a land flowing with milk and honey a land of plenty, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me; and I have also seen how the Egyptians oppress them. Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, and then bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? And God said, certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve and worship God at this mountain.” Exodus 3:7-12.
