HOPEFUL AND SHAMELESS

“Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord. Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees. Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands. As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should. I will obey your decrees. Please don’t give up on me. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:5; Psalm 119:1-8.

Though they are several things that cause shame in a person’s life; whether the shame is very big or very small, from within or outside of you, controlled or out of control, persistent or not, none of them are from the Lord God Almighty. The Lord Jesus Christ whom you serve from your heart will remain forever loving, increasingly kind, always compassionate, and will ever and always remain very merciful to all human beings irrespective of religious affiliation and places of fellowship.  These uncompromising and unmatched loving kindnesses from God and all of His mercies has only one intent to fulfill, and that is, to bring men to the knowledge, and to the fullness of Jesus Christ as their only Lord and savior. The power of shame will not stop that from happening and the working of evil will not stop you from reaching and achieving what God had intended for you in this life. Being in Christ Jesus does not mean it is well with you, but it means that all will definitely be well through Christ Jesus despite the weaknesses, wickedness, delays, denials, frustration and all shameful tendencies from the pit of hell standing against you.

The joy of being a Christian is in the hope that we have now and in the nearest future through the merciful love of God and the gift of salvation that we have received; it is in the assurance that we have from the scriptures that being redeemed and remaining faithful, committed and patient will bring us a blessing that will take away all forms of shame and pains. It is in the assurance of the resurrection of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ which we will receive in the end of life.

God did not in any way and for any circumstance include shame in His covenant plans, in His divine will and purposes, and in His package of salvation for your life. What was included in that package still stands today as they were the very day God called you completely out from that shameful, foolish and evil consequence and the power of sin. Irrespective of what the devil is doing now, irrespective of the adversities you are facing and constantly receive each day, you are alive for a purpose, irrespective of the contrary voices, contrary wishes and the contrary dreams God had taken away all of your shame.

Included in the package of your salvation were the peace of Christ despite adversities, the sure hope of joy despite frustrations; health and healing despite sickness, strength and victory despite weakness, deliverance and grace despite attacks and fears, heaven despite the treats of hell from the devil, goodness and mercy despite wickedness and victimization from the enemy. Despite his problems, Job was very hopeful and shameless to continue in his believe and trust in the name of the God who saved him. The devil brought shame, but God took the shame away and restored him after a period of time.

Living is all about having hope, and living well is about hoping right, and hoping right is hoping in the God who is living and who will never fail. Hoping in God and in His goodness will always produce positive results despite the passage of time and seasons, despite the words, the laughter and reasons of men against your desire to keep hope alive and wait on Christ Jesus on the issues that concerns your life. You need to be shamelessly hopeful in Christ Jesus your Lord. For prayers, Click here
