RESTRICT SATAN IN MY LIFE OH LORD

Post date: Aug 6, 2014 4:00:33 AM

I am always very thankful for the life of Job the servant of God in his days; Job was never an ordained priest in any known synagogue around, but he feared God and walked blameless in all his ways; Job was the richest man around, but he was very upright in all his ways with God and man publicly, privately and in every business; Job was greatly respected in the society and had great influence wherever he went, but he was humble enough to worship God, to rightly recognize Him as his only savior and provider of all that he had; Job was very successful in all the things he did, and was able to shun evil practices in his dealings with men and with God. Job was very busy in life and was the greatest among all the people who where in the east, yet even in his exalted position of wealth and greatness, he never fail to take time to pray to the Almighty God for himself, and for each of his children mentioning them by name every day before God.

Despite his business activities and schedules, Job was a man who endeavors to discipline himself before God. He was a man of great distinction in all things; the Holy Scriptures recognizes him as that and God honored him by placing a restriction in his life when Satan, moved with wicked envy and intent came to corrupt his ways before God and destroy his life. With the restriction, God worked in and through him to prove to the world that uprightness before God and man will always bring a reward; that constantly walking in the fear of the Lord will definitely place you on the safe side of life, and is the beginning of the wisdom that preserve your life in all situations irrespective of what Satan will do and say against you. “This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.” Job 1:1

Job was not as others around him; he ran away from evil when others were running to do evil, he humbled himself when others were showing off their wealth and the pride of their possession; Job conducted himself peacefully when he was rich, and continued in that peaceful nature when he was poor; Job was not good when things were good and bad when things became bad. Even when the devil took all, he was still thankful to God; even when friend deserted him because of his poverty and sickness, he never distance himself from God or talk evil of Him. When the friends who were good with him when he was rich came and falsely accused him of doing evil, Job was not angry with them or abused or accused them in return. He remained calm before his friends and God even in the time of his greatest test and humiliation.

“Then the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. Does Job fear God for nothing? Satan replied. Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face. The Lord said to Satan, Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger. Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.” Job 1:8-12

Whatever you do on earth is all recorded in heaven for you by the Almighty God and at the right time, God will use them for you. How many of us today will do what Job did in his time before his trouble came and after. None of your good deeds will go unrewarded. In whatever situation you find yourself, know that as a redeemed child of the living God, He is there with you, He is there to guide you through, He is there to defend you, He is there to ensure His plans and His words for your life are protected and completely manifested. Refuse to join others in doing what is evil; make your stand with God known by your words and actions; God had seen the excellent life of Job before placing the restriction, He can do yours now.
