THIS IS A DELAY NOT DENIAL

Contrary to your everyday best wishes and your daily fervent prayers for something good and excellent to happen in your life or the life of someone else, some of those good expectations and desires may still have to take days, months and even years to begin coming through as God had promised; some may cost you an enormous effort in days of fasting, days of prayers, sincere self-sacrifices and many days of inward reflections; but irrespective of the delays, never you give up, delays are not denials. Every promises of God for your life will definitely be fulfilled as intended irrespective of the time you will have to spend in waiting.

Waiting on the fulfillment of the promises of God is one thing you should never give up doing; God will never use delay as a weapon against your progress, He will never use delay to destroy your dreams, visions, desires and wishes. When God allows delays in your life, in your dreams, and on the things you so much desire, it is never a sign of punishment, it is for something good to come. God will always preserve you for the very best at all times and in all situations.

God will sometimes permit certain delays to occur in fulfilling His words, but despite the delays, it is quite certain, God will never fail in fulfilling all the promises irrespective of the number of days, months and years the delay may have lasted. When delay sets in, never give up hope and never stop pushing on in faith. When delay sets in, never stop praying, never stop holding on to your God in absolute trust, and never stop doing what is right and acceptable to get to the point of receiving the fullness of the promise. When delay sets in, never forget God is still with you, He is still able, and He is still willing to do what He had promised to do for you.

What makes a person great is not what they say and do when situations are good and favorable, when dreams are easy to be fulfilled and desires are working according to plans; it is what they do and say when all situations and efforts are quite contrary. There are many people in the bible that experienced great delays while holding on to the promises of God, but none of them turned back from the promise and none of them were disappointed at the end. Before God gives His words of promise to any man, there must have been good reasons in His plans, and before He allows any form of delay, there must also have been good reasons, but delays is no punishment to you. Disappointment does not come from God.

This delay is never a denial, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Hannah, the children of Israel, and many others were never disappointed though they had delays. “Be careful to obey all the commands I am giving you today. Then you will live and multiply, and you will enter and occupy the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands. Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. For all these forty years your clothes didn’t wear out, and your feet didn’t blister or swell. Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land of flowing streams and pools of water, with fountains and springs that gush out in the valleys and hills. It is a land of wheat and barley; of grapevines, fig trees, and pomegranates; of olive oil and honey. It is a land where food is plentiful and nothing is lacking. It is a land where iron is as common as stone, and copper is abundant in the hills. When you have eaten your fill, be sure to praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.” Deuteronomy 8:1-10. For prayers, Click here
