“DREAMERS AND INSIGNIFICANCE”

“Then the chief cupbearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, I would mention my faults today. Two years ago Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and he put me in confinement in the house of the captain of the guard, both me and the chief baker. We dreamed a dream on the same night, he and I; each of us dreamed according to the significance of the interpretation of his own dream. Now there was with us in the prison a young man, a Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted our dreams for us, to each man according to the significance of his own dream. And just as he interpreted the dreams for us, so it happened; I was restored to my office as chief cupbearer, and the baker was hanged. Then Pharaoh sent and called for Joseph, and they hurriedly brought him out of the dungeon; and when Joseph shaved himself and changed his clothes making himself presentable, he came to Pharaoh. Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it; and I have heard it said about you that you can understand a dream and interpret it. Joseph answered Pharaoh, it is not in me to interpret the dream; God, not I will give Pharaoh a favorable answer through me.” Genesis 41:9-16. This was a clear interaction between the dreamer with his dream and the knowledge of the dream. In all circumstances, God’s divine dreams mean more than the dreamer, it affects people, generations and brings to past the intent of God for His people.

Those with divine dreams are significant but they are never bigger than the giver of dreams even when they want to think and believe otherwise. When God chooses you to give a dream, He has much more things in line, many more people in waiting, many more situations to affect and many more glory to take to Himself. When you are of the thought that your dream will make you more important than others around you who will benefit from the fullness of that dream, you will find yourself in troubles you never bargain for with the dream. It is with such thoughts that people start having problems with their dreams, with themselves, with the implementation and fear begin to set into their hearts thereby controlling their actions against the will and desire of God for giving them that dream in the first place.

When you own the dream and desire to own the result also, putting God after yourself, not before yourself, God will watch you have endless wrestle with fears, with Satan, and with people. When God gives you dreams, He also will give you peace in your heart even when you are suffering in and because of the dream. It is when this peace from heaven rules and dwells in your hearts and informs your thoughts and guide your ways that the dreams will begin to unfold itself in its original intent and desire and design of the Almighty God.

Fears are real but what fuels fear in our hearts are the lies from hell about the truth in the word of God, the willingness of God to fulfill the dream, the sins we have committed and the doubts we have concerning the promises of God. Dreamers should come to accept that no dream is too tall or high and no dreamer is too small or insignificant; no aspiration is too difficult when God is in it and the aspirer daunted because no challenge is too great when success is assured by the Lord Almighty, nothing we want from our Lord that He can’t do because Him alone can do all things. Your doubts concerning the dreams God had given you will not stop your God and the fears in the dreams will not hinder His plans; your day of joy and celebration associated with the correct implementation of the dreams according to His plans and purpose will not be hindered; your personal promises in the dream from the throne of grace and from the presence of our God will come. It is true that when the dream is fulfilled, God will take away your shame as He did for Joseph. It is on record that Joseph went horrible things because of the dream, but God still fulfilled His words and His plans for him. “The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.” Isaiah 14:24.For prayers, Click here
