"ANOINTING COMES WITH DEMANDS (2)"

Post date: Dec 5, 2018 4:48:12 AM

The demand on Christ Jesus began immediately after the baptism by John the Baptist when the Holy Spirit came on Him with power from on high. We read, “Now Jesus, full of and in perfect communication with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they ended, He was hungry. Then the devil said to Him, if You are the Son of God, command this stone to turn into bread. Jesus replied to him, it is written and forever remains written, man shall not live by bread alone. Then he led Jesus up to a high mountain and displayed before Him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth and their magnificence in the twinkling of an eye. And the devil said to Him, I will give You all this realm and its glory, its power, its renown; because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore if You worship before me, it will all be Yours. Jesus replied to him, it is written and forever remains written, you shall worship the Lord your God and serve only Him. Then he led Jesus to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the pinnacle, highest point of the temple, and said mockingly to Him, if You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here; for it is written and forever remains written, He will command His angels concerning you to guard and protect you, and they will lift you up on their hands so that you do not strike your foot against a stone. Jesus replied to him, it is said in Scripture, you shall not tempt the Lord your God to prove Himself to you. When the devil had finished every temptation, he temporarily left Him until a more opportune time. Luke 4:1-13. The demands on Christ Jesus started by being led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit for a time of personal prayers and fasting for forty days; He was not led by Satan or self or any required religious rituals but was led By the Holy Spirit of God. The demands that come from the anointing which you will receive will not be to satisfy any person, satisfy a religious requirement or institution, or self or church-interest, but the demand will be to satisfy the God who anoints and to prepare you to meet what He requires thereafter for the anointing to be effective, active and productive as He had designed and desired.

It was not Satan that led Christ Jesus into the wilderness or demanded He should pray or fast for forty days and nights; Christ did not decide by Himself either, it was not required to fulfill any religious ritual to be accepted into the fold of religious leaders, but it was God who demanded it and the Holy Spirit led Him and Christ only obeyed and followed the leading of the Holy Spirit immediately. The demands that will follow the anointing will require your absolute and prompt obedience to do what He asked, say what He asks and be where He wants. Did you know that when the demands of the anointing on you are high, the stakes also will be raised high? The grace from God to succeed will also increase higher, the glory that will also come out of it will be raised up high and the result of that demand and your obedience will be amazing to hear and see and it will be a source of courage, strength, and praise and excellent testimony to others. The anointing will place a spiritual and physical demand on you to walk in peace with God and with man in your heart in all circumstances irrespective of the situation and offence they have committed against you; it will demand you to always seek the presence and power of the Lord above all things and not the presence of friends or human beings in all situations; it will demand you desire the word of the Lord and His counsel not the words and counsel of men; it will demand you depend on the counsel of the Lord not the wisdom of men or your own understanding or knowledge of how things are done or should be done; it will demand you follow the direction God wants and not the direction you think is best or wants. It will demand you know God, know His words, depend on Him and rely on His words; Jesus Christ succeeded not because He was the Son of God but because He knew, depended on, obeyed, and used the word of God.
