HE RAISED ME UP

God is willing and well able to lead us into His fullness, to raise us up, He is willing to bless us beyond the standards of men and the society, He is willing to use us beyond our best efforts and strength, He is willing to open closed doors despite the number of years they have been closed. Whatever He promises, that He will do, whatever He says, that will be fulfilled, He is quite able to confront all obstacles that stands to hinder His plans, purposes and desires for His children irrespective of the resistance of the devil. Besides, the devil only resist men, not God.

There are certain things in life that God had given man the power to do on their own, the grace to accomplish in life and the ability to enforce and overcome. There are also certain things that are solely reserved for God to do for and in us, such things are beyond our power and can never be accomplished even when we give our whole selves in doing them. Such things are definitely not by power but by God's spirit. God's word to Zerrubabel was to be submissive and to allow the spirit the chance to lead him into the accomplishment he deserved in life.

“And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying. The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.” Zechariah 4:1-9

When we struggle with the spirit of God we limit and hinder our chances of success and victory in our endeavors. Instead of struggling with the Spirit, we should struggle in the spirit like Christ did at the tomb of Lazarus. That is when our strength will be maximized and made effective and active. Struggling in the spirit is to support Him, to give in to His control and ways and to submit ourselves to His leadership.

God wants to lead us by His Spirit and by His words in every situation, in every battle and every victory. When we allow this to take place in our lives, then this scripture will come alive instantly: “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19

When we give ourselves to the leading of the word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit will lift up His standard in us and that will thereafter lift up our standard before men, enabling us to work in a higher standard in life, then all men and the devil, from the north, to the south, from the east to the west, will fear the God we serve (The God Almighty, all powerful and most Holy)

The Spirit of the Lord is with us always, urging us to excellence, urging us to take His path, take His instruction, and accept His leadership. Though the devil will resist, you will never fail. Though you may stumble and fall, He will raised you up again. Though you may cry, He will comfort you. Though men may speak ill against you, you will still be making progress. Though you may lack, but you will be rejoicing. And the word is grieve not the Holy Spirit of God. God is willing to raise you up right now.
