IN HIS TIME OF UNBELIEF, HELP CAME

Post date: Nov 17, 2016 2:11:02 AM

More than ever before, people are going through situations they never expected, never thought, never dream, never desired, and never prayed for and unfortunately many faithful believers in our Lord Jesus Christ are on this list. The obedient servants of the Most High God, the poor and the rich in our nations, professionals in higher and lower fields of labor are not exempted from this group. The beautiful and the handsome, the high and the low in the society, the able-bodied and the handicapped, irrespective of gender, color, age, nationality, location and language are in the group of people who are wondering aloud every day about what is happening to them or what had just happened to them’. It is my observation that Christian believers in all nations of the world and denominations are experiencing things they never thought could, would or should ever happen to them. They are going through horrible things and experiences which are quite contrary to what they believed and followed in the Holy Bible. Because these horrible situations are staying too long, defying every good thing they have done, every step they have taken, they are beginning to disbelief the same things they had believed before, but be of good cheers, God is definitely sending help.

There are times we could not believe what is going on in our lives, finances, family, marriage, job, what is happening to our dreams and desires in life; there are times we could not believe we are failing, we are still poor, still single, still childless, jobless, poor, unknown, sick, sad, and lonely. You have prayed in your understanding and in the spirit; you have fasted as often as you could; you have devoted several sleepless nights to prayers; you have believed every word and every promise of God; you have given arms and aided the poor; you are always prompt in your tithes and have been generous in offering; you have been a committed and regular seed sower; you have grown in faith and in grace; you have cried to God privately and openly; you have attended deliverance services and teaching meeting; you are consistent in taking the Lord’s Supper and yet things had not changed and you are beginning to disbelief God.

Even in his unbelief, this man found help. You will find and receive help. “When they came back to the other nine disciples, they saw a large crowd around them, and scribes questioning and arguing with them. Immediately, when the entire crowd saw Jesus, they were startled and began running up to greet Him. He asked them, what are you discussing with them? One of the crowd replied to Him, teacher, I brought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him unable to speak; and whenever it seizes him intending to do harm, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth and becomes stiff. I told Your disciples to drive it out, and they could not do it. He replied, O unbelieving faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me. They brought the boy to Him. When the demonic spirit saw Him, immediately it threw the boy into a convulsion, and falling to the ground he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth. Jesus asked his father, how long has this been happening to him? And he answered, since childhood. The demon has often thrown him both into fire and into water, intending to kill him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us. Jesus said to him, You say to Me, if You can? All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts in Me. Immediately the father of the boy cried out with a desperate, piercing cry, saying, I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief. When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering around them, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, you deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again. After screaming out and throwing him into a terrible convulsion, it came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse so still and pale that many of the spectators said, he is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him and he stood up.” Mark 9:14-29. You will have help. For Prayers Click here
