I REFUSE TO GO BACKWARD DEAR LORD

Post date: Mar 30, 2015 3:41:33 AM

Those things you have overcome before will not overcome you again. Loneliness, joblessness, lack, sorrows, rejection, poverty, confusion, anger, hopelessness, helplessness, lack of workable ideas, and unholy mistakes; by God’s grace you defeated them before, and by God’s grace you will not go back to them again and will not experience them again. Your decision counts to your advantage and will favor you in all situations; your determination to remain faithful in Christ is the very best you have made, your decision to desire His ways counts as an added plus to your profession and relationship; your stand on the purpose He had set for you will never be in vain, the words on your lips, the meditations in your heart, and the things you see in your dreams will come to pass. God took you through your past, through your wrongs, through your guilt’s and through your shameful moments; that same God is taking you into your future, into His promises to you, and into the things that are good and excellent to tell and to remember.

Your past and all the things you have gone through in life are far behind you and your future is right ahead for you to reach and take control of. God is not looking at your past, He is looking at your future, offering it to you and calling you to accept it; if you cannot see your future through His words, ask Him to open your eyes and show you; you have dwelt long enough in your past, it is time to move pass it into something new and excellent; God is not taking you backward to what you were yesterday or to what people say you were yesterday, He is taking you forward to what He had said of you; He is not taking you back into your past sins and failures, He is taking you into His righteousness in Christ Jesus through grace; He is not taking you to the mountains of afflictions and limitations, but above, over and beyond those limiting mountains of afflictions; He is taking you into your victory not into your defeat; He is taking you into abundance of health and peace; He is taking you into your bright future, and because God is involved, you are leaving where you are right now to a new place, a place you will have peace, and live for Him joyfully.

Despite all the complaint around you, the ones on your lips and people around, poses the good spirit of Peter and desire not to go back but to go forward because greater things are ahead for you in this very life through Christ Jesus. Despite the hardship you are going through today, the abuse, the lack, the rejection, the loneliness and the frustrations in life, decide to go forward in Christ, because like Peter, very soon those things will not be there again. Refuse to follow or go back with the quitters, the gossipers, and the unbelievers; join hands with the victors in Christ Jesus; refuse to go back to the shameful habits you have left behind, to the shameful words you were used to, to the shameful imaginations you fed yourself with, and to the shameful indulgence of immoralities. Decide to move forward to greater things in life and in your profession; decide to move forward with greater dreams and greater desires for excellence and godly dignity. God is calling you to higher and more secured grounds in Him. Decide to go with Him and not turning back for any reason. God had brought many into their brightest moments.

“Jesus was aware that his disciples were complaining, so he said to them, Does this offend you? Then what will you think if you see the Son of Man ascend to heaven again? The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But some of you do not believe me. For Jesus knew from the beginning which ones didn’t believe, and he knew who would betray him. Then he said, That is why I said that people can’t come to me unless the Father gives them to me. At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, Are you also going to leave? Simon Peter replied, Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God.” John 6:61-69. For prayers, Click here.
