IT IS FINISHED, NOTHING IS LEFT

It is amazing to know that the very last word of Jesus Christ on the cross despite the mockery, the pains, and the humiliations He suffered was to declare to you, to me and to the hearing of everyone else in the whole world that absolutely nothing is being withheld from all that was physically and spiritually necessary for the ultimate salvation of our souls, for our freedom from sin and its consequences, from our having victory in our quest to serve Him in truth and in spirit on the earth, from our daily physical and spiritual activities when we declare to follow Him.

By reason of the cross of Jesus Christ, God finished all that was necessarily required to fulfill all the demands that will ever hold us back from achieving that which He had willed for us, and all which He had planned for us to do on earth. The journey of Jesus Christ to the cross was much more than just His crucifixion; it was for the total redemption of the entire human race from falling into the captivity of the devil in all the ways he might want to use, it was to secure all who will ever come to believe His words and follow His ways. It was for those who will say ‘Lord, I will wait until my victory is accomplished because You had completed all that was necessary long before this situation comes into my life.

On that faithful day, God completed all that was required for the change you have been praying for, the opening of the doors to all the blessings you have been trusting Him for, He completed all that required for you to move up and move on to higher glory, He completed all that was required for you to have a good relationship with Him and with others. He completed all that is required for your life, that of your spouse, your children, your parents and other believers around the world to change for good and to receive all that heaven had destined for them before the world began. On the cross that faithful day, despising everything, Jesus Christ declared the finished work; “When Jesus had tasted it, he said, it is finished. Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.” John 19:30

It is interesting to know that God the Father is not holding back anything from us and will never hold anything against us. He did that through His immeasurable love to us. “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17.

It is equally interesting to know that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is not holding anything back from us. His acceptance to come was to die in order to complete the mission of the Father. This He did humbly, willingly and faithfully: “Surely He has borne our grief and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of my people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked. But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;” Isaiah 53:4-10

Nothing was spared for our salvation and freedom; and nothing is withheld from our being what God had promised and said. Christ said ‘it is finished’ and I believe it. For prayers, Click here
