"LET US PRAY - August 24 - 26"

“I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing. “The Lord said, I have in fact seen the affliction, suffering, desolation of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, oppressors; for I know their pain and suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand, power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a land that is good and spacious, to a land flowing with milk and honey, a land of plenty, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me; and I have also seen how the Egyptians oppress them. In that day you will not need to ask Me about anything. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name as My representative, He will give you. Until now you have not asked the Father for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and complete. Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will instead give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will instead give him a snake? If you then, evil, sinful by nature as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven perfect as He is gives what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him.” Exodus 3:7-9; John 15:11; John 16:23-24; Matthew 7:7-11

We serve the God who without being told knows our needs, sees our afflictions, our oppressors, knows our sorrows and pains and had asked us and encourage us to come before Him with all of our prayer concerning what we think about ourselves, about our situations, about our locations, about our family, about others, about what we desire to see, what we desire to have and what we desire to happen next. God asked us to pray to Him, to bring our entire request and expectations in life before Him, not our complaints, not our grumblings, and He had promised in His love to answer and to grant us joy and peace according to His love.

It is God’s desire that we pray and it is His delight also to answer us and He did for the children of Israel. Praying is acting in obedience, and refusing to pray is disobedience. In prayer, we present our request and our heart desires and leave the rest to God act according to His desires and promises to us. When the Children of Israel prayed in Egypt, God told Moses, He had seen their afflictions, He had seen their suffering, He had noticed their desolation; He also told Moses, He has heard their cry because of their taskmasters and their oppressors; He also said He had known their pains and their sufferings, and He concluded I have come down to rescue them from the hands, and the power of the Egyptians and to bring them up to the place I have promised. In prayers, we present our request and we remind God of His promise. Remember, despite our pains and suffering, God’s promises never expires. He knew, saw, heard and acted for the children of Israel in Egypt, so has He known, saw and heard ours and He will also act. He rescued them, He will rescue us, as He led them out, He will lead us and as He protected them, He will also protect us. He will not leave you where you are indefinitely.

OH my Lord, I need your visitation today: visit me in my sorrows, in my pains, in my location, in my isolation, in my loneliness, and in my despair; do not leave me in this messy situation again. Remember your promises concerning me; remember the power of your salvation, and remember the blood of Jesus Christ my savior. I need a difference caused by your presence and by your power in my life.
