"WHAT HAVE YOU SAID TO GOD LATELY?"

We all have words hidden in our hearts and words on our lips which we do not speak; we have words we speak out publicly for everyone to hear and words we speak just to ourselves and to a few others around us, and we also have words we speak in our spirits often. The things we think in our hearts and the words we speak out loud expresses the condition of our hearts at that very time, it expresses our, feelings, thoughts, and our personal situations at that particular moment in question. The words we speak are a direct reflection of what is in our heart and an expression of the good or bad circumstances we find ourselves. But irrespective of the circumstances we are in and the things we hear and experience around us from people or family, God wants us to always speak words that are constructive, words that builds faith; words that change the situation, words that are encouraging, words that show love and mercy, and words that are a direct reflection of His best intent, will and plans for us in life.

Are your words to God that of joy or frustration; are they words of your expectations or words of often disappointments; are they encouraging or bitter to the ears; are they of determination or despair: are they expressing fears or expressing boldness in the God you serve. We have all said things to Our God either in our joy or in our sadness, but despite what we experienced and said, God will definitely speak back to us in His own words; He will give us comfort with His words despite our own words, our situations and He will give us hope. In our fears, when we experience lack of self-esteem we express it to God; in our discouragement, we told God we can’t continue again, and in His reply, God said, He will go with you; “But now, this is what the Lord, your Creator says, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel, do not fear, for I have redeemed you from captivity; I have called you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush, and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in My sight, you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in return for you and other peoples in exchange for your life. Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east” Isaiah 43:1-5

In your shame and continuous loneliness, you have said to God that no one loves you, but God in His words to you, He said even when everybody deserts you and refuses to love you for any of their reasons, He will keep loving you and had given you Jesus Christ as a sign of His love and to express that love to you in a practical way. “But God, being so very rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were spiritually dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us spiritually alive together with Christ for by His grace, His undeserved favor and mercy, you have been saved from God’s judgment.” Ephesians 2:4-5. When you are disappointed and feel depressed by failures or something else, we say to God, I can’t go anymore, but God said to you, go, He said His grace is sufficient to take you through despite the previous failures and disappointments. When you said to God you are lost in your life imaginations on what is happening, you have no more ideas, you have no one to direct or truly support your course, you do not know what next to do in life to have the success that He had promised after exhausting all that you knew before and still remaining at the same place, God said back to you, from now, He will direct your steps. “Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him and He will make your paths straight and smooth removing obstacles that block your way. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7. For Prayers Click here
