TAKE ME BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS OH LORD (05)

Did you trust the healing of our physical body will definitely come? That is an expectation and God will honor it. Did you trust your spiritual restoration will definitely come? That is a good and perfect expectation and God will honor it. Did you trust God will rescue you every affliction and sorrows? That also is an expectation and God can do it. Did you believe God will restore your lost glory, your lost dreams, your lost possession, and your lost spiritual grace? That also is a good expectation and God will grant it. Did you know you have not wasted your time praying, fasting and believing God for a breakthrough? That is an expectation and God will bring it to pass in your life. Did you call on God and still calling on Him without stopping even when it seems He is not responding to you? That is also an expectation and God will one day in His love and power give you the answer, that also is a good expectation.

But despite your best expectations, your best prayers, your best dreams, and in all your patience so far in this matter, God in the fullness of His love, in the fullness of His power, by the presence of His grace and His elevating faithfulness will take you beyond those best expectations of your life; He will take you beyond your best preparation in life and will take you beyond the best help any man can and had ever given to you. That is what God will do for, in, and through you this season. Expectations are a way of living and when the Almighty God is involved in them, He will fulfill them beyond your imaginations, beyond your knowledge, beyond your philosophical reasoning and wisdom, and beyond your physical and spiritual power. God said to Jeremiah, “I am the Lord, the God of every person on the earth and all flesh. Nothing is impossible or is too hard for me to do.” Jeremiah 32:27. Jesus Christ said to His disciples after listening to Him speak to people, “Humanly speaking this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26. God also said to Abraham after twenty-five years of waiting for a promise and a fast-fading expectation; “Then the Lord said to Abraham, why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, I am too old to have a baby? Is anything too hard for the Lord? No, I will return to you at the right time a year from now, in due time, about the living time and Sarah will have a son.” Genesis18:13-14. Those were a reassurance for an existing expectation.

To Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, there was no expectation beyond getting married to Joseph; all she was doing prior to the day of God’s visitation by the angel was believed the word of God concerning the eventual coming of the Messiah to redeem Israel; keep herself holy, righteous and prepared to see, hear about the birth of the Messiah, remain faithful to His words and do what is required. On the day of her visitation by the angel, to her surprise and beyond all expectations, beyond all prayers, beyond all dreams, and beyond all promises, God was about to take her beyond all human expectations for her life, all of her own expectations, and beyond all of her family expectations. In all, God was about to do the unexpected with her and for her.

“But Mary was very startled, disturbed, perplexed and troubled by what the angel said and wondered what this greeting might mean. The angel said to her, don’t be afraid, Mary, because God has shown you His grace, you have found favor and grace with God. Listen, you will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of King David, his ancestor. He will reign over the people of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will never end. Mary said to the angel, how will this happen since I am a virgin? The angel said to Mary, the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you. For this reason, the baby will be holy and will be called the Son of God. Now your relative is also pregnant with a son though she is very old. Everyone thought she could not have a baby, but she has been pregnant for six months, God can do anything.” Luke 1:29-37 Prayer Request Click here
