"MISTAKES THAT CAUSES SETBACK (II)"

Post date: Mar 20, 2017 11:48:29 PM

We cannot know the devil well enough and we cannot fully understand his intent against us, but one thing we know is that his overall intent is to alienate us from the Almighty God; alienate us from fulfilling God’s promises for our lives; alienate us from His good will towards us, and hold us in the captivity of the mistakes we make in our times of trouble, delays, confusion, struggles, quarrel, misunderstanding, and pains in life. Satan wants to alienate us from our families, from our children, and from our spouses; he wants to separate us from relationships that will glorify the Almighty God; alienate us from our marriage partner; alienate us from being the best that God in His love had made for us; alienate us from the freedom we have in being followers and lovers of Christ Jesus, and he wants to alienate us from the destinies we have in Christ. He does all these by bringing various uncomfortable circumstances, delays, disappointments, frustrations, abuses, shame, and poverty in our lives; his intent is that, as we struggle in these things, we will commit mistakes against the plans and will of God for our lives and he will use those mistakes to cause setbacks in our lives, profession, family and this mistakes will be passed on from one generation to another in our family. We need to be wise; Apostle Paul said for Satan not to take advantage of us in our daily struggles, we should not be ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2:11

One thing we can do in all of our struggles since we cannot avoid all of them is to completely rest on the saving grace from our Lord Jesus Christ; we should rest on the liberating power of His powerful words irrespective of the people and circumstances confronting and challenging us; we should completely rest on God’s unending love which can never be taken away as long as we remain in Christ; we should rest on God’s absolute knowledge in all things, and we should rest on God’s ability to deliver us from whatever adverse situations and pains that we find ourselves and the shame and humiliation we received and also endured. I want you to know that the devil is extremely crafty, dubious, furious, unfriendly, intelligent, and destructive in all of his ways; he is forever unfriendly and will remain forever merciless. We may not understand his ways against our wellbeing but can rest on the understanding of God’s promises for our lives in all things, and we should never seek to underrate him by taking unnecessary changes when dealing with any of the afflictions and struggles in our lives. All that Satan wants is for us to make a mistake that he will use to cause setbacks in our lives thereafter.

If our parents had made a mistake, we should not seek to continue in such mistake; if our friends had made any mistake, we should not follow in such mistakes, and if we have made mistakes, we should tell our children openly not to follow in our mistakes. Mistakes are tools that Satan uses to cause setbacks in the lives of peoples, families, and nations from one generation to another from ages past. Know that God can take you through all live struggles without you becoming a victim to any of the schemes of the devil in those struggles. He can take you through the nooks and crannies of life without you having to in any way to sacrifice or surrender your destiny and life to the devil for a temporal peace with sorrows thereafter; God is able to make away for you even in places that the ways had been declared permanently closed without you compromising your faith and His words and the good desires He had placed in your heart. “If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. So, my dear friends flee from the worship of idols. You are reasonable people. Decide for yourselves if what I am saying is true. 2 Corinthians 10:12-15. I want you to know that irrespective of the observed and known mistakes of your parents and in your family, through grace in Christ Jesus you are no more bound to continue in them or to make another in Jesus Name.
