ABRAHAM WOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED A FOOL BUT GOD (2)

Active faith in the word of God and in His ability will make you look like a fool before men in their thoughts, knowledge, and imaginations, but faith is what God needs to move us beyond where we are, beyond what the devil is doing and above the imaginations of men. Faith in God’s word is calling on heaven to back up every word God had spoken concerning that issue; it is the real true test of believers and followers of Jesus Christ and faith will always require our patience, courage, dedication, trust, action, love, absolute focus on Christ Jesus and sacrifice. Faith is not magic, it is a mystery only understood by God and rewarded by Him. Faith is a spirit that cannot be overtaken by adversity when it is actively dwelling and working in us; it cannot be taken away from us when it sees obstacles and pains, rather those things we see and experience fires the faith into actions that produce results. The tougher the obstacles on our way to success, the more faith is required to grow in us.

Abraham would have been called a fool if he did not see Sarah conceived and Isaac born with his eyes in his lifetime after believing, praying, and patiently waiting twenty-five years for that word of promise from God to be fulfilled. Faith will always produce result irrespective of the number of years it experiences a delay, frustration, and how many time we fail in that same issue we have our faith in. When others give up faith, do not join them. stay with it, believe in Him, and expect it to work for you. People gave up on Abraham having a child even Sarah joined; his age was a big challenge, but Abraham never gave up hope, never gave up expectations, never stopped in his obedience, and at the age of a hundred, Isaac was born in his house and he celebrated him.

Abraham would have been called a big fool if God did not exceedingly fulfill all His promises to him after leaving everything he had behind in compliance with the demands and commands of God. God told Abram, leave all behind, don’t turn back, don’t return, and move out, and move on to a place a will show you. God said to him, move a place I will show you; God did not show him the place but promised to do so and He did. Genesis 12:1-4. “Now the Lord had said to Abram, get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you, and in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed. So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him.”

Do not believe in Jesus Christ or follow God blindly, believe and follow Him according to His word and in faith; work with him in faith; remain in Him with and in faith, submit yourselves to the terms of words, not your terms; have all your expectations based on faith in His words and promises, and not on the evidence of science, or feelings, or the understanding of the knowledge and wisdom and wealth of men. When all things in life fail, let not your faith in His word fail. Faith in His word has the ability to bring back to life things that had been declared dead and completely impossible by the wisdom and understanding of men and science – Sarah’s womb at ninety years of age is just one clear evidence. Abraham worked hard and lived to see his faith in the word of God become a reality despite the delays and frustrations of life. Faith always works together with obedience to the living God and His word. True faith should always follow prompt obedience and submissiveness to God. Abraham showed no faith in himself or in his hard work but in his obedience to every word of God through the instructions he received and the actions he took. That will be yours, nothing should be taken away or be added. There is a place for hard work and a place for faith to enable you to reach where God had destined for you. “Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the Lord; look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug. Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, blessed, and increased him.” Isaiah 51:1-2. For prayers, Click here
