THE NEWS OF GREAT JOY

God pronounced the promise in the Garden of Eden in the presence and hearing of Adam, Eve and the serpent. In the fullness of time, God sent Angel Gabriel announced it to Mary and she conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit, God also confirmed it to Joseph to take away his confusion after the conception. On a day like this many years ago, the promise was made visible, Mary brought forth the promise for the world to see, at night, the Angels announced the fulfillment to shepherds who were tending their sheep nearby and gave them signs to look for, on the Shepherds decision to go and confirm what they heard, God sent stars to lead them to the actual location where they saw the child as was told them by the Angels. As you make up your mind to experience the blessings in Christ Jesus, like the shepherds on hearing about Christ Jesus, the Lord Himself will lead you so that you do not miss your way.

Everything that God had and will ever say to you publicly or privately will be fulfilled. All His acts are purposely designed to bring joy, gladness and liberation to all men in all location irrespective of gender, race, color, nationality, profession and language. The inclusive mercy and love of God is for all to receive and to benefit with. The promise of Christ Jesus and the benefits He brought along with His birth was for all, but Mary was the chosen channel of fulfillment. There is no promise from God that is too big or too small that will not be fulfilled whether we understand them or not, all we have to do is to believe them, and to wait for their fulfillment.

“And in that vicinity there were shepherds living [out under the open sky] in the field, watching [in shifts] over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord flashed and shone all about them, and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people. For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord. And this will be a sign for you [by which you will recognize Him]: you will find [after searching] a Baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. Then suddenly there appeared with the angel an army of the troops of heaven (a heavenly knighthood), praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest [heaven], and on earth peace among men with whom He is well pleased [men of goodwill, of His favor]. When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing (saying) that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us. So they went with haste and [by searching] found Mary and Joseph, and the Baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known what had been told them concerning this Child, and all who heard it were astounded and marveled at what the shepherds told them. But Mary was keeping within herself all these things (sayings), weighing and pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, just as it had been told them.” Luke 2:8-20

“For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7. This is the lovely and joyful news for you to keep and rejoice with every day.

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” John 3:16
