ARE YOU GOD IN HEAVEN?

Post date: Apr 10, 2014 4:00:13 AM

Remember, this question is only asked by true believers, those who have submitted their will, hope, plans and strength to the Almighty God, those who have searched their lives thoroughly, have confessed and repented of any known sin as revealed by the Holy Spirit, and those who have absolutely decided to wait and rely on that which God alone can do in their lives. The none-believers and the nominal Christians cannot ask such question, they believe in their untested self, daily failing strength and wisdom, but you believe in the saving grace of our Lord Jesus. Yes He is God in heaven, walking through His children to perfect His plans and purpose on earth and He dwells in the hearts of His people always for good

No bad news is ever pleasant to the ears, peaceful to the heart, and none ever promotes godliness, friendliness, joy and love. Any news that touches the lives of men negatively irrespective of the situation in question automatically creates inner and outer bad feelings, creates a sense of guilt, enables mistakes, self- rejection, total confusion, fears and the greatest of all, various forms of worries which inadvertently affects everything in life; that is where believers in Jesus Christ ask that question, and the only answer available is an emphatic yes.

He is not only God in heaven, He is the God of all flesh on earth also, there had never been any like Him from, before and after the creation until this very day in all things; there will never be any besides Him and there will never be any like Him. He cannot be compared with any one or anything else. Know it that your God is the Almighty God who lives, saves, delivers and defends His children from the effects of their enemies and the effects of every bad news.

What news have you heard recently? Let those things you are hearing and experiencing in your life not in any way distract your focus on our Lord Jesus Christ and let them not take your heart away from following and obeying Him. There is no situation and no news that He had not seen and had not heard even before you come to know, feel and see them happening. Our God may not stop the news from coming but He will definitely stop them from overrunning your life and taking possession of you. He is a defender of those who put their trust in Him.

Because your God did not order the bad news against you, it will not be established permanently in your life, it will never cause a scene that will embarrass you before your God, your family and others around you. Even when the news have over stayed its welcome, trust that you are in the saved hands of your Father in heaven and that you are being guided and guarded always. By asking ‘are you God in heaven’ means you are requesting His power and His might to visit your situation and His plans and will to be done in your life. Jehoshaphat did ask that question and God heard him and saved his people from the hands of their enemies.

“Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, a great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar, which is En Gedi. And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord. Then Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court, and said: O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? Are You not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever? And they dwell in it, and have built You a sanctuary in it for Your name, saying, If disaster comes upon us, sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this temple and in Your presence, for Your name is in this temple, and cry out to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save.” 2 Chronicles 20:2-9.
