Sorrows of any kind in any location to any individual are never desirable and never prayed for at any time but they do come forcefully often or sometimes last longer than expected. When sorrow last longer it becomes very painful and begin looking like a curse or an evil spell is working in your life. When sorrows last longer than expected, it will wrongly affect your entire thoughts life, affect the way you react to issues and act on things, it will greatly reducing your hope in victory, your past and present visions, and your dreams for a better day. Sorrow is a painful evil and the devil means to steal the joy that God intends for your life as His child.

One thing I know and this I believe is it that, irrespective of the nature, the origin and the number of years of that sorrow in your life, irrespective of your location, gender and color, because Jesus Christ our redeemer is alive and actively involved in every affairs of all the children of the living God, that sorrow will never endue forever, your happy days though delayed, will never be denied though frustrated, it will never be taken from you; your happy day will surely come, the day that God will turn your days of sorrows into your years of dancing and celebration.

Sarah, Hannah, Jabez, Joseph, Job, Elizabeth and many others were people that God ensured that their happy days were not denied permanently. God does not desire you have a temporary happy day, but a prolonged and permanent happy years. He is bringing you into years that you will live to celebrate and be celebrated because He is remembering you for good; He is remembering your days of good deeds, your many good actions, acceptable sacrifices, and He is rewarding you for your many years of faithfulness and consistency in proclaiming His name even in your adversity.

Elizabeth declared herself barren after many years of delay and thought of being denial her right as a woman in child bearing; her family also thought her days of happiness were over and her days of rejoicing with a child were over. But God in His mercy and in His perfect timing visited Zachariah in the sanctuary one glorious day through an angel with an announcement that his expectation as a father was about to fulfilled and that of his wife as a woman were about to be made manifest. Elizabeth’s situation had become a family shame and on that glorious day, when God was announcing the conception of Mary, she was also informed of the conception of her cousin Elizabeth

God restored the joy of Elizabeth, restored the happy days of the family and restored their trust in the living God. As God did that of Elizabeth, taking away her shame and giving happy days, so will He do for you now as you follow Him in faith. God had not forgotten His promises for a happy day; He has not abandoned His words. Delays are not denial and none of the activities of the devil will stop you from manifesting His promised happy day in this life.

“Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed. Why am I so honored, that the mother of my Lord should visit me? When I heard your greeting, the baby in my womb jumped for joy. You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said. Mary responded, oh, how my soul praises the Lord. How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed. For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me. He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him. His mighty arm has done tremendous things. He has scattered the proud and haughty ones. He has brought down princes from their thrones and exalted the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands. He has helped his servant Israel and remembered to be merciful. For he made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his children forever.” Luke 1:42-55. For prayers, Click here
