HOLDING GOD ON HIS PROMISES

Despite the pains and the agonies in life, which in the first place suppose not to be our companion, having a perfect assurance from a well-established, trusted and reliable source will be one of the greatest reliefs to rejoice the heart and expect. Did you know that God had never left humanity without a hope, assurance of health, deliverance and restoration in anything despite our sins? There is nothing that God cannot change under the heavens, no human being that He cannot touch and recue from whatever pains or sorrows. There are no past, existing, or to come situations that are destined to remain forever in the life of anyone. Our God is capable of changing the past, rescue the present and secure the future. He is not limited in ever sphere by anything. There are no curses too powerful to hinder Him; no mistake is too severe that He cannot correct and there is no situation so pathetic that He is not able of delivering us from.

Living under the assurance of the Kind of God we know and trust is my greatest pleasure in life and ministry. This divine assurance is not dependent on what we are, see and hear, but on what God is capable of doing and has done in the past, through the evidence in the bible and those around us. It is completely dependent on our whole hearted acceptance of His words.

Look around you now, if you have ever seen, read, or heard God doing anything extraordinary in the life of anyone, trust that He will not pass you by, He will do yours also. If God had ever blessed someone on earth before, He will also bless you. If He had ever rescued someone from a protracted dilemma before, He will also deliver you. If He had ever restored someone before, He will also restore you. If He had ever given someone a good job, a husband, a wife, children, a home, good health, peace, victory and success in any endeavor, He will also give you. You cannot be with him, dine on His table and accompany Him on any errand and go empty handed thereafter. I am convinced we will not go empty handed during and after this prayer time.

Trusting and acting on God’s word should be our everyday delight. If everything else fails, His words will not, and if we are standing on His words, we cannot fail, and if we do fall, He will rescue, restore, and position us for the next level of exploits. God will refresh your strength, your hope and your expectations with undeniable evidences, from now on.

We should not only act on the word of God because of our condition, but purely on the power and blessing that we will always derive in doing so irrespective of our situations. God will never fail in His promises to us when we continuously act on them with all our heart and mind.

This assurance of Solomon is now ours; “And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house that my name may be there forever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my Judgments; Then will I establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel” 2 Chronicle7:12-19

The promises are; outpoured rain from open heaven, deliverance from pestilence and the evil devouring effects of locust, forgiveness of sin and healing, a deserved refreshment and life as we humble ourselves in prayer. God has done far beyond what we can see, read or heard and we must begin to experience our own. Peace. Someone is here to pray with you. Click here
