“Then the Lord said to Abram, you can be sure that your descendants, seed will be strangers, sojourners, wanderers, resident aliens in a land they don’t own. The people there will make them slaves and be cruel to oppress them for four hundred years. But I will punish, judge the nation where they are slaves which they serve. Then your descendants, seed will leave that land, taking great wealth, possessions with them. And you Abram, will die,  go to your fathers, ancestors in peace and will be buried at an old age.” Genesis 15:13-14. Did you know God will never forget His words, His promises, His covenants, His creation, and the people He is in covenant with despite their troubles and the number of years they have been in that trouble? God in His love gave Abram His word, gave him a promise, and entered into a covenant with him thereafter. The word was for him to see and to enjoy; the promise was for Abram and his children to believe and also experience, and the covenant was for him, his children, their generations and everyone else who will believe and follow the Almighty God and that includes you and me today. We are the children of His covenant through believe and salvation in Christ Jesus. God will not for any reason forget or abandon His covenant and He will not for all reasons forget or abandon the people who are in covenant with Him through faith in Jesus Christ. He will always remember His covenant and He will implement all that is written in that covenant, nothing will be taken out by mistake or purposely and no detail will be missing when He is fulfilling them.

Our God is a covenant keeper. “He is the Lord our God, His laws, justice, judgments are for all the world. He will keep, remember His agreement, covenant, treaty forever. He will keep His promises always, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations. He will keep the agreement, covenant, treaty He made with Abraham  and the promise, oath He made to Isaac He made it a law, statute, ordinance, requirement for the people of Jacob; He made it an agreement, covenant agreement with Israel to last forever.” Psalm 105:7-10 The children of Israel were in Egypt for four hundred and thirty years, yet God did not wipe away the promise or cancel the covenant. They were under slavery, severely tortured, given hard labor, used and humiliated, some died, some were killed, and all were shamefully treated but the covenant was still intact and effective waiting only for the appointed time.

“After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The people of Israel groaned because they were forced to work very hard of their work, slavery. When they cried for help, God heard them, their plea for help rose up to God because of their work, slavery. God heard their cries, groaning, and He remembered the agreement He had made, His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God saw the troubles of the people, sons, children of Israel, and He was concerned about, took note of them.” Exodus 2:23-25. For becoming salves and increased task, the children of Israel cried to God for help and He remembered His covenant and because He remembered His covenant, He sent Moses with these words; “The Lord said, I have seen the troubles, affliction or humiliation my people have suffered in Egypt, and I have heard their cries when the Egyptian slavemasters hurt them before their foremen, taskmasters. I am concerned about, know their pain, and I have come down to save, rescue, deliver them from the Egyptians. I will bring them out of that land and lead them to a good land with lots of room, a fertile land flowing with milk and honey, an image of abundant fertility. It is the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. I have heard the cries of the people of Israel, and I have seen the way the Egyptians have made life hard for, oppressed them. So now I am sending you to the king of Egypt, Pharaoh. Go, bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.” Exodus 3:7-10 God will remember you because of Jesus Christ, He will remember you because of the Cross at Calvary and He will remember you because of your faithfulness to Him.
