GIVE ME DIVINE FAVOR OH LORD (4)

The beginning and the ending of Abraham and Sarah are perfect examples of divine favor from God alone. Abraham became whatever he became in life not because of what he did for God before or what he was doing for God when God clearly spoke to him and enabled him to hear, understand, and also follow the instructions in what He said. It was not because Abraham was an active man in prayers or active in anything else that attracts God’s attention to men. There is no record to show that Abraham had any relationship with God before then, no record to show that Abraham ever engaged himself or his family in any Godly active like prayers or fasting or worship of God before then. There is no record of Abraham’s past lifestyle, no record of his religion or beliefs, but God just opened him up and gave him an amazing future that is still standing and very effective till date, that is an amazing act of divine favor that only God alone can do. Abraham did not dream of it, did not ask for it, did not even know such a thing existed.

God in His amazing love openly and very clearly told Abraham of his wonderful future, not of his past, or of his parents past, or of the past of any of his relatives;“Now in Haran the Lord had said to Abram, go away from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you; and I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you abundantly, and make your name great, exalted, distinguished; and you shall be a blessing, a source of great good to others; and I will bless, do good for, benefit those who bless you, and I will curse that is, subject to My wrath and judgment the one who curses, despises, dishonors, has contempt for you. And in you, all the families of the earth will be blessed. So Abram departed in faithful obedience as the Lord had directed him, and Lot left with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.” Genesis 12:1-4. This was before Abraham started walking with God in truth and in righteousness

But we are even in a better time, a time that Christ to show us the perfect way to God and to His blessing, a time that our past had been paid for by the irrevocable blood of Jesus Christ, a time that our righteousness is the righteousness of Christ Jesus and a time that we have an advocate who is at the right hand of God the Father Almighty interceding for better things for all who believes, accepts and follows Him in purity of mind and sincerity of purpose. We are at a better time to ask because we have been commanded to ask with a promise; “In that day you will not need to ask Me about anything. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. Until now you have not asked the Father for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and complete.” John 16:23-24

Abraham’s subsequent blessings and wealth and greatness and immortalization in history were not as a result of any labor, it all came only through the divine favor from God. When God decides to give you favor, He makes things to fall in place for you with or without your asking or your best labor, and not even your past lifestyle which had been forgiven by Christ Jesus will be able to stop God or stop you. There is power in forgiveness, there is hope in forgiveness, there is a restoration in forgiveness, there is peace in forgiveness, there is joy in knowing your past will no longer hinder your future and there is a better future through God’s divine favor. Jesus Christ came to make is possible for you and I to receive the divine favor as Abraham did his in his days and I pray you will not miss it in Jesus Name. “The blessing of the Lord brings true riches, and He adds no sorrow to it for it comes as a blessing from God. Engaging in evil is like sport to the fool who refuses wisdom and chases sin, but to a man of understanding skillful and godly wisdom brings joy. What the wicked fears will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous for the blessings of God will be granted.” Proverbs 10:22-24. Prayer Request Click here
