FEAR NOT, DO NOT TREMBLE

Fear not, do not tremble and don’t be terrified and discouraged by what is happening around you, the Almighty God is with you for good. He will give you the blessing no matter what may stand on your way right now. It is not what is standing to oppose you that matters to God, but what you stand on to receive the blessing that matters. There is no free and easy road to success and greatness. No desire can be fulfilled without you having to work for it and the devil seeking to stop you. The devil does not attack or oppose failures. Everyone will experience opposition in life, but what you do when opposed is what determines the blessings you get. The devil stood up to oppose God and everything that is of God, but the more he tries, the more he fails. The devil stood up again to oppose Christ Jesus, but Christ never allowed him to stop His mission. All believers should develop this mind-set and declare it everywhere in everything they do, that as the devil was unable to stop our Lord Jesus Christ, so will he not be able to stop us as we walk not in our strength, but in the strength of the word of God, the blood of Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Spirit of God in us.

We were deliberately redeemed to fulfill a divine purpose set forth by God, not by ourselves or the devil. In fulfilling this purpose, we will be opposed by all sort of things, but God will defend us, we will be weaken by our enemies, but God will strengthen us, we will be discouraged by the things that happens to us daily, but God, through His spirit will give us the courage to continue. When we are truly committed to Christ Jesus and our desires are right, our thoughts will be right also, and we will be able to look forward to success in the things we do. Our ability to achieve that divine purpose successfully does not depend on our strength, but on God’s strength alone and with Him we will overcome. “He will guard the feet of His godly ones, but the wicked shall be silenced and perish in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.” 1 Samuel 2:9

Though we may sometimes be fearful, but our fears are taken away by the confidence we have in the word of God, not in the weapons of war or our strength and ability. This is the confidence we have through His word; “When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people. And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them. For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.” Deuteronomy 20:1-4

“Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [continue in His love with Me]. If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love. I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.” John 15:4-11. For prayer, click here
