IS GOD SILENT? NEVER GIVE UP

As a born again Christian, you have an unforgettable living and everlasting covenant relationship with the Almighty God who dwells in you, and abides with you, who is also quite able to see you through all situations in life, deliver you from all plans and desires of the enemies and troubles in your life, and set you apart for the glory to come. This covenant relationship with God was made possible and eternally sealed through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary long before you were born. That covenant is still effective even when God is silent on your prayers.

That is why it is good to remain connected to the source of your redemption despite the feelings, connected to your God despite the silence and connected despite the delays. When God is silent in any situation that concerns any of His faithful Children, He is definitely not absent. Through your decision to follow Christ Jesus, you have inherited the power in His words, the blessings in the word and all the promises in the words related to that covenant relationship.

This is the reliving and assuring promises and covenant from the Almighty God to all of His children: “But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all. And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Romans 8:9-11

Despite the situations we are in, despite the number of days and years, despite the abuse and the frustrations, God will never fail you in all of His promises even when He is silent on your issue. He gave us a living example in what He did in the life of our Lord Jesus Christ, using that as the assurance we should hold on to in every of our situations. Jesus Christ our Lord and savior, true and perfect in all things, without sin and blemish was not forgotten by the Father when He was tested, tempted, persecuted, abused, denied, stripped naked, killed and buried in a borrowed tomb even when He cried and felt lonely and forgotten. Though God the Father was silent when Jesus went through all these things, He was never absent in His life at any time, so it is He with you also today.

Despite all their struggles, their several attempts, their prayers, their strong faith in His words, their trust in His power, God was still silent with Abraham and Sarah for a whole twenty five with regards to His promise to give them a son called Isaac. Though God was absent throughout this period of time, He was never absent and did not forget His words to them. At the fullness of time, He sent three angels to reconfirm those words and instructed Abraham on what to do. At a hundred years for Abraham and ninety years for Sarah, the presence of God was manifested in them in a miraculous way to take away their shame. That is my prayer for you also.

There are several things that God is definitely silent about in our lives. His silence does not mean He is absent, or He does not know what next to do in our lives or He is incapable of doing what is right and expected in our situation them. His silence does not mean you are living in sin; it does not mean you have not been praying right, it does not mean you have drifted too far from His presence, or your location in infested with things He cannot rescue you from. Even when God is silent, even when the world is turning against you and your prayers are not answered as soon as expected, God is still very active in our lives, never give up and never stop praising Him even when we feel very lonely, and think you have failed to reach your goals in life. God is still with you even when He is silent. For prayers, Click here
