MY PRESENCE SHALL GO WITH YOU

After obeying God and accepting to lead the children Israel; after spending days and time talking with Pharaoh, after days of frustration and resistance, after exhausting all his strength is trying to persuade Pharaoh, his leaders and his magicians, all that Moses needed thereafter was not any form of wisdom, knowledge, or understanding to completely defeat Pharaoh and his leaders, to overcome the enemies of the children of God on their way to the promised land; to survive the effect of the wilderness, to survive hunger and taste , to cross the red sea and to river Jordan was nothing else but the presence of God to go with them.

Until that date and time, Moses had done all that was physically required to have a success; he had done all that was spiritually necessary and divinely required to have a breakthrough; he had done all that he knew as a man in his own wisdom; he had done all that he understood from the books of learning; he had done all that were deemed necessary in life by men without having the success he expected. But Moses knew he had only one more weapon to use; he knew he was not yet a failure despite failing to convince Pharaoh and the resistance of the other leaders; he knew he was on a mission from the God who never fails, who never turn back on His plans, who never changes His words, and the God who demands nothings more than success from him. Moses was convinced he heard clearly from God before leaving his place, he understood what God wanted from him and he knew he cannot turn back.

You may be in Moses shoes right now in your life. No way to return to, no one to depend on and look up to, no one to confide with and no one to call a friend in your present desperation. Like Moses, you do not know why you are still single after all the years of trying be appropriately engaged and married; why you are still jobless after all your good qualifications; why you are still lonely after being married for years and having a great job; why you are still childless after being healthy and all the medical checks that proved you fit to have children; why you are still confused after securing a confirmation you needed; why you are still poor after earning a great monthly wage; why you still begging to meet your needs; why you still in that same home, in that same neighborhood, and in that same situation year in and year out. You do not know why things are not going as planed for your life after all the years you have spent in fixing things around your like and family. You cannot give a reason why you are still a tenant despite being able to buy or build your own home; why your children are deserting you after investing in their lives and in their education. You do not understand why your boss and the co-workers hates you after doing your very best to be friendly with them. This was what Moses, and you should do it.

“Moses said to the Lord, see, you say to me, bring up this people, but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet you said, I know you by name and you have also found favor in My sight. Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, perceiving and recognizing and understanding more strongly and clearly and that I may find favor in Your sight. And Lord, do consider that this nation is your people. And the Lord said, My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. And Moses said to the Lord, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here. For by what shall it be known that I and Your people have found favor in your sight? Is it not in your going with us so that we are distinguished, I and Your people, from all the other people upon the face of the earth? And the Lord said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have asked, for you have found favor, loving-kindness, and mercy in My sight and I know you personally and by name. And Moses said, I beseech You, show me Your glory.” Exodus 33:12-18. For prayers, Click here. For 3 hours of Praise and worship songs Click Here
