No. 7. The seventh thing that God wants you to know is the Holy Spirit, the working of the Holy Spirit, the source of the Holy Spirit, and how the Holy Spirit works and impacts lives. He wants you to know the value of the Holy Spirit in your own life, He wants you to walk with the Holy Spirit, to listen to the Holy Spirit, to believe the Holy Spirit for guidance, to depend on His leading and to follow His directives. God wants you to know that it takes the power of the Holy Spirit to know Him, to understand Him, to obey Him and to be blessed by His words. Without the Holy Spirit working in the lives of the believer, there will be no true commitment, no lasting and true result of Christianity. It is through the indwelling of the person of the Holy Spirit and His power working in and through us that makes us effective, fervent, consistent, holy, and true followers of Jesus Christ. without the Holy Spirit, we will not know God, we will not know Jesus Christ and we will not understand the words of God. Jesus Christ speaking to His disciples mentioned the importance of the presence of the  Holy Spirit and the work He will do in them.

“But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, where are You going? But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts and taken complete possession of them. But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener, Standby will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him the Holy Spirit to you to be in close fellowship with you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world about the guilt of sin and the need for a Savior, and about righteousness, and about judgment: about sin and the true nature of it, because they do not believe in Me and My message; about righteousness, personal integrity, and godly character, because I am going to My Father and you will no longer see Me; about judgment, the certainty of it, because the ruler of this world Satan has been judged and condemned. I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear to hear them now. But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth full and complete truth. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears from the Father, the message regarding the Son, and He will disclose to you what is to come in the future. He will glorify and honor Me because He the Holy Spirit will take from what is Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Because of this, I said that He the Spirit will take from what is Mine and will reveal it to you.” John 16:5-15

We cannot and should not underestimate the work and power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ said again to the disciples in John 14:16-17; “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener, Standby, to be with you forever, the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive and take to its heart because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He, the Holy Spirit remains with you continually and will be in you.” It was the Holy Spirit that empowered the disciples and enables them to overcome fear and to begin preaching the gospel; it is the Holy Spirit that brings conviction and conversion, it is the Holy Spirit that enables understanding and interpretation of God’s will and plans, it is the Holy Spirit that quickens the word of God and it is the Holy Spirit who opens our eyes of believers to see spiritual things beyond the ordinary eyes. When we submit ourselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we are directly submitting ourselves to God and His plans for our lives and for the work He had called us to do on earth. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba, Father. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,  and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.” Romans 8:14-17. Prayer Request Click here
