There are many uncertain things in the world today and Christians are not left out in any of these uncertainties. There is uncertainty in jobs, health, finances, in the neighborhood, in marriages, in spouses and in children, and uncertainties even in homes that you rent or own personally. There are uncertainties in governments, in organizations, in organized institutions private or public, and in agencies in all nations at the local and international level, but despite the level of uncertainties that we will ever see or experience, it is quite certain that the Almighty God is still alive, Jesus Christ our Lord is alive, He is active, and He is doing and will do His wonders in the lives of those who trust in Him, who believes in Him, who obeys His words, and who follows His precepts.

We were saved by God through grace by Jesus Christ; we are being kept alive by Him; we are always enabled by Him, and we will always be helped and sustained by Him. He has an unfailing word of promise for us based on our obedience and willingness to keep those words and keep our fellowship with Him continuously. Your salvation was for a definite purpose and that purpose will not fail in any way. God made that salvation possible for you and He will keep you relevant until that purpose and plans in the salvation are fulfilled. When God begins anything, He will surely complete it, He will not abandon it, and He will not leave it to the imaginations or actions of men irrespective of the powers, knowledge, and wisdom behind such human actions. Your location, age, and name will not in any way hinder God or stop what He will do and what He intends for your life. God wants us to acknowledge and worship Him in truth and in obedience to His precepts and commands.

It is certain that what God had planned for you will be fulfilled. I pray God to open your eyes and minds to see beyond the present situation, beyond the present difficulties, beyond the evil actions of men against you, I pray He opens your eyes His plans, to see His love, and to see the big things He has for your future. Things that are bigger and better than the present difficulties and sufferings and humiliations and shame. It is very certain His plans will work. God made it possible for Hagar to be in Abraham’s home; He made it possible for her to serve as Sarah’s maid, and made it possible for her to conceive and have a son but the unthinkable came up, she was thrown out of her position and out of the house with her son with no hope on what next to do and where else to go. She was lost in thoughts, lost in imagination, lost in knowledge of what to do next, lost in the wilderness and all that was left for her was to wait and watch her son die before she dies, but God did not ignore her in her time of uncertain troubles, unsettled mind and thoughts. She knew she was lost, but she was not lost in the eyes of God; she knew she was lost, but she was not lost in the provisions of God for her life; she knew her son was about to die of thirst and hunger, but that was not God’s plans for her or for her son. God helped her, spoke to her, and gave her an assurance of the future while making provision for her immediate needs. That is what God will do for you also.

“Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba. When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes. Then she went off and sat down about a bowshot away, for she thought, I cannot watch the boy die. And as she sat there, she began to sob. God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, what is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation. Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink. God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer.” Genesis 21:10-21. For prayers, Click here
