Match your desires with determination and decision to follow the word of God and you will see the Almighty God open doors for you to pass through despite the difficulties and the people rising up to oppose, hinder, and fight against you with their weapons and collaborations of wickedness from hell. One of my greatest admiration in the life of David was not him being one of the greatest kings in Israel, or the killing of Goliath with a sling and a stone, or him establishing a rich dynasty and wealth for himself and for the generations of his children after him. It is in his unfading desire for righteousness, to honor and please God, and his determination to do so always irrespective of the situations in his life. It was that desired determination followed by his actions that brought him the remarkable favor, recognition, anointing, and grace from God to do with him what He did, and enabled him to be what He wanted in life. It is very certain that God planned it for David and God enabled it and gave it to him. Yours is coming.

It was through that desire, determination and actions that David became strong and established, it was through that determination that David repented of sins he committed and seek forgiveness from God; it was through that determination that made David become a man of prayer, a man after God’s own heart and a man that God was proud to introduce to Samuel. This is what God said to David through Natan, – “Now, therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David, thus says the Lord of hosts, I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel. And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a great name, like the name of the great men who are on the earth. Moreover, I will appoint a place for My people Israel and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously, since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also, the Lord tells you that He will make you a house. When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you.” 2 Samuel 7:7-15

God acknowledged that He made David - I took you from the sheepfold – I stopped you from following the sheep – I made you ruler over My people - I have been with you – I have cut off all your enemies – I made you a great name -- I will appoint a place for My people, -- I will plant them -- I will make you a house -- I will set up your seed after you -- I will establish his kingdom - I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever - I will be his Father - I will chasten him and - My mercy shall not depart. David’s life was divinely planned and divinely given. God has plans for you and He will make it possible and give them to you.

David said – “I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined to me and heard my cry, He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth - Praise to our God, many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God are Your wonderful works which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order, If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, my ears You have opened. burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. Then I said, Behold, I come in the scroll of the book it is written of me.” Psalm 40:1-7. For prayers, Click here
