“Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands' command ye me. I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens and all their host have I commanded. I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the Lord of hosts. Thus saith the Lord, the labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, surely God is in thee, and there is none else, there is no God. Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour. They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols. But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end. For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord and there is none else. I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness; I declare things that are right. Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.” Isaiah 45:11-20

We are commanded to ask what is to come and not what had passed or what is present. You have gone through several test and trials in the past; endured pains and humiliations in the past; you have been falsely accused and accursed; wrongly challenged by those in and out of power and by those who have authority over you; you have been insulted and punished for reasons you do not know; you have been unjustly treated and denied even that which is yours; your prayers had been unduely delayed in ways that beats your imagination; you have suffered disappointments, failure, and frustrations; you have been too long in loneliness, too long in rejection and too long in lack; you have been silenced for too long because of your circumstances; you have been childless and without a spouse for too long; you have been jobless and pennyless despite your knowledge and education; but despite all that you have gone through, God commanded to ask concerning things to come and not things that are past. The past is gone but the future is yet to come and God is in absolute control of what is to come in your future life and He had given you the grace to ask concerning those things to come. Do not let your current experience influence what you ask for in your future, let your asking be a conviction of what you know from the word of God, what you believe in the word of God, and what God will definitely do and had promised to do for you, in you and through you because of your salvation, your consistent faith in Him, your faithfulness to Him, your obedience to His commands and His everlasting love for you.

This is all about your future and how you want it to be. It is an open window to know what you want then ask for them; to see what your eyes want then ask for them; to know what you will desire then and ask for them; and it is an open window for you to have a full glimpse of what your future is like and have been waiting for to ask the only God who is able, can, and will do all irrespective of the forces of opposition against the things you ask. It;s a command that is sure to quicked you from where you are now to where you want to be or ought to be according to the call of God upon your life, your beliefs, faith in His word and in His promises. Ask His plans concerning your future and His works. He commanded us to ask, no alternative than to ask, believe what you ask concerning your future and he will answer us. For prayers, Click here
