PRAY WITH ME

OH LORD, I NEED YOUR SHIELD

"Sometime later, the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision and said to him, Do not be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great." Genesis 15:1

If there is any time in our Christian journey that we will ever seek a shield over our lives and over everything that concerns us it is now.

1.      Do not wait until things start going wrong in your life before you start seeking God’s shield.

2.      Do not wait until the devil is having his foot or has input in your health, in the lives of your children, over your finances, over your marriage, in your church and ministry, in your relationship with your spouse, and with God; in your profession and job before you start requesting God to provide a shield over you and over that which belongs to you.

3.      The shield of God is very necessary at all times and in all places irrespective of your wealth, of your level of faith, profession, gender, location, and color.

4.      The shield of God is effective at all times and can adequately defend you, securely protect you and effectively sustain you for now and for the next level that God will be taking you to in life.

5.      Let us ask for God’s shield against every demonic attack in our lives, in the lives of our children, in our finances, in our marriages, and in our services to God, and to men.

6.      Let us effectively ask for all of God’s shield against sin in our days because we are being exposed to every form of temptation and the works of sin are taking their toll on the lives of many.

7.      Let us ask for God’s shield as we seek to begin and maintain a relationship that God will be honored at all times.

8.      Let us ask for God’s shield as desire to have a life that will give us peace, help us maintain a Godly focus in this age of confusion and distractions on material things;

9.      Let us ask for grace God’s shield as we seek a life of spiritual and physical and financial excellent in this age of pride and self-glory;

10.   Let us ask for God’s effective shield twenty-four-seven, in all seasons and in all occasions.

11.   It was God’s shield that kept Abraham in his times of delay;

12.   It was God’s shield that kept Noah in his time of wealth and pleasure pursuits;

13.   It was God’s shield that kept Job in his times of security against the plans of the devil on his life.

14.   We truly need God’s shield.

“And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place.”  2 Chronicles 7:12-15

Psalm 50:14-15; Psalm 91:15; Jeremiah 29:12, Jeremiah 33:3.

Prayer has the power to open closed doors, set captives really free, and give hope and assurance to the hopeless and powerless, it confirms the reality of God’s power and love. When we pray and as we pray, God will give us answers.

declaration prayers

1. Dear Lord, please speak a word that will change my situation for the better.

 “Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.” Luke 7:7

2. I am what God said and made and nothing else. I will manifest it, I will fulfill it, and will praise His name.

“Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book, all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them? If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, [could I count to the end] I would still be with You.” Psalm 139:12-18

e. I will over overcome all evil limitations and hindrances.

f. I will not work and someone else eats the fruit of my labor.

g. In 2013, let me see your blessing early upon my life and my work

4. “But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis, and object) of faith which we preach” Romans 10:8

Go ahead and openly declare

a. Your desires,

b. Dreams,

c. Visions,

d. Plans and

e. Purposes to God.

“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts, and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.” Jeremiah 29:11-14

Give God the praise for answered prayer in Jesus' name.
