A SURE REFUGE FROM THE STORMS (4)

“There remains, therefore, a rest for the people of God.” Hebrews 4:9. Days, times, situations and almost everything under the heavens are changing, but our faith in Christ our Lord and our Savior, He whom we truly believe and trust remains the same as it was the first day we received total forgiveness, total cleansing by His blood, and free salvation by His grace. It is certain that our faith had not shifted despite our situations shifting every day. Right from creation until this very moment, our God has not changed, He remains the same; His words have not changed, they remain the same; His promises have not changed, they remain the same; His laws have not changed, they remain the same, and His favor to all His children are still active and remain the same even when we experience changing times, seasons, and changing situations. God in His love and power had promised that all (we) His children will surely have a time of rest from afflictions, storms and troubles of life and it is time for His word to be fulfilled.

Certainly there is a time of rest for you, and for the people of God; there is a season of rest that God will give to you, and there are seasons and times for recovery that God will surely give us. There is a time for afflictions to cease, for sickness to be removed, for health to be fully restored, for healing to take place and continue, for dreams to be fulfilled, for blessings to come from God, for divine desires to come true, for sincere prayers to be answered, for faithfulness and obedience to His principles to be adequately rewarded, and for His peace that passes our understanding to be enjoyed by His people on earth. Let this word be amplified in your heart and spirit right now, God is never weak despite this situation; He is never absent despite the delays and hardship; His word is never weak despite what we are experiencing, in all situations, in all locations and in all ages, His will, His plan, and His purpose will definitely be fulfilled. There remains, therefore, a rest for you beloved, a rest for the people of God, rest for those who call on Him and those who sincerely look unto Him. That is His word and promises and it will definitely be fulfilled.

God is not speaking to the empty space or to trees, or animals, He said to the people of God, that is you and all others living on the earth today, it is to the people He made in His true image and in His likeness. To you and to the rest of us who believe, trust, depend and are still holding on to Him and to what He had faithfully promised us.

He did not fail in the days and times of Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and He will not fail in our days. When Abraham believed Him and held onto the words He gave him that faithful day, when he faithfully obeyed it and followed it, God fulfilled His plans. When Noah heard the word from God, he believed it, obey it, and followed it, and God fulfilled His promises. When Isaac heard God instructing him, he obeyed it and followed it, and God blessed, multiplied, and made him very great even in the presence of famine and adversity in the land. When Job trusted even more in his most trying moments in life; when he refused to blame God when pressured to do so, when he showed courage and consistency before God, before his family, and before his friends, God did not forsake, or disappoint him, He restored him seven times better than before. That same God is our God today.
