GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT

Every gift is unique, important and necessary; they are specifically designed to fulfill a purpose either now or sometime in the future. The giver and the receiver are equally important, and unique. No giver, no receiver and the gift are too small and none is insignificant. Your individual values are not determined by the quality of the gift you have in hand (though this matters) it is determined by the quality of the heart and its intents of the receiver and the giver. While the gifts from men are for a short moment of time, the gift from God is for eternity. It is an absolute fact that no individual can survive a second longer without enjoying a gift from God whether they acknowledge Him for that or not, none also can be save without acknowledging with utmost appreciation and acceptance of the free gift of salvation. Quite unlike the gifts from men, all the gifts from God are free, without preconditions.

God intents for His gifts are lasting and true, to give life a better and meaning purpose to live for. In classifying the gift from God, the bible used the word best and perfect in the book of James. There are gifts that are good, and they are the ones that are better and best. Some gifts are transforming, some are elevating. Some reminds us of something past and some reminds us of something to come, some spurs up encourage in us to remain hopeful and remain focused.

To the poor, gifts are for transformation to a new statuesque; to bring relieve from the bad side of the daily trauma of poverty, a translation that will bring a lasting joy and hopeful bright future in life. To the rich, gift is to help maintain the statuesque and increase the more in all things, never going down but always going up. The uniqueness of the gift from God is that it meets all needs of all men at all time in all location irrespective of race, status and nationality. This is why it is called the good and perfect gift. It is perfect because it addresses all situations without degrading in value, content and intent. There is no situation that the gift from God does not address, none it does not adequately console, none it cannot absolutely comfort, none it cannot bring encourage to, none it cannot deliver, protect, speak to and speak for, none it cannot response to, none it cannot abide with and in, none it cannot support, help, lift up, fight for and defend. There is no situation that the gift from God cannot change for the best irrespective of its gloominess and discomfort. There is no situation that the gift from God will not be very perfect to bring forth a desired change. I pray you will not miss this good and perfect gift again in your life.

“Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. And it was of His own [free] will that He gave us birth [as sons] by His Word of Truth, so that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures [a sample of what He created to be consecrated to Himself]. Understand this, my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. For man’s anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires]. So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls. But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).” James 117-25 Join in this expectation Click here
