FOR HIS NAME’S SAKE, NOTHING ELSE

Irrespective of what the devil is doing with you and in you, irrespective of the amount of delays and frustrations, the name of our Lord Jesus Christ must be exalted in you. Despite the best of your strength, wisdom, connections and knowledge in life, there are several things you will never be able to do except God step in to provide the needed help. Despite your several weaknesses, failures and disappointing discouragements, God has not, and will never give up on helping you for His name’s sake. In every move to preserving His name, He preserves those who trust in, and hold on to that name despite their situations, professions and locations.

While we boast on our little achievements, God boast of the absolute and eternal power in His name and in His words. The scripture recorded this of Jesus Christ: “And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself still further and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore because He stooped so low God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name. That in the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. And every tongue frankly and openly confesses and acknowledges that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippian 2:8-11

Irrespective of what the devil may do with you or with any of God’s beloved children, there is absolutely nothing physical and spiritual that will stop God from preserving His name in you and in His children. There is no pit too dip that He cannot deliver, no road too crocked and rough, no place too dangerous, and no situation too deplorable that He cannot intervene to preserve His name and His children. There is no limit to what He can and will do when His name is at stake, and when those who hold onto His name are persecuted for righteousness sake.

There are several things that God will do in you, with you and through you just for His name’s sake; there are several things that He will allow and several that He will not allow. Some are for punishment and some are for blessing. We read what God did in the life of David for His name’s sake to take him to the place of history that he occupied. “The Lord is my Shepherd to feed, guide, and shield me, I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in fresh, tender green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yes, though I walk through the deep, sunless valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” Psalm 23:1-6.

This is the account of the children of Israel: “Earnestly remember me, O Lord, when You favor Your people. O visit me also when You deliver them, and grant me Your salvation. That I may see and share the welfare of Your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your heritage. We have sinned, as did also our fathers; we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly. Our fathers in Egypt understood not nor appreciated Your miracles; they did not earnestly remember the multitude of Your mercies nor imprint Your loving-kindness on their hearts, but they were rebellious and provoked the Lord at the sea, even at the Red Sea. Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake to prove the righteousness of the divine character, that He might make His mighty power known. He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it dried up; so He led them through the depths as through a pastureland. And He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the Egyptians.” Psalm 106:4-10.

As you continue in Him, He will deliver, bless, make a way, open up closed doors and dreams and give you the victory you deserve. This He will do for His name sake and not for anything that you have done except holding on to Him forever. For Prayers Click here
