I MUST OVERCOME THIS TEMPTATION LORD

“One day Jesus said to his disciples, there will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting. It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin. So watch yourselves. If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive. The apostles said to the Lord, show us how to increase our faith. The Lord answered, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, May you be uprooted and thrown into the sea, and it would obey you.” Luke 17:1-6

While people are always waiting to push you down from the grace of Jesus Christ upon your life and to soil your white garment of salvation with sins and your heart with guilt, God is waiting to deliver you from all of their plots and to also punish such people for their wicked acts and plots against you. Even in such plots, God is not asking you to abuse them but to trust Him; He is not asking you to fight them but to resist them through dedication to His principles as stated in the scriptures; He is not asking you to keep animosity with them but to look unto Him with all of your heart, mind and strength for the victory. Sin is a hindrance to godliness and righteousness; it is the road that leads to physical and spiritual destructions; it holes the keys that opens all the doors that leads to hell and eternal condemnation; sin activates a curse and makes them very effective and active; it keeps one in satanic captivity and bondage indefinitely; temptation is the source through which we fall into sin and through grace in Christ Jesus, we will overcome every temptation that seeks to enslave our dreams, our visions, our desires and our future.

No one is above temptation and none is immune from it, but through the grace from Jesus Christ our Lord, you will overcome this present one and the ones that are coming; no one will succeed against temptation and sin without the help from Christ Jesus; that divine help never fails, never diminishes, are not selective and never loses its powers in the lives of all sincere believers. The essence on the cross was not only to take away your sins but also to keep you from sin through overcoming temptations that drags one to sin and hell. There are things waiting to trip you over the path of holiness and righteousness, waiting to force you out of the powers of grace, waiting to humiliate you with shame and guilt, waiting to make you angry and offensive to yourself, your children, spouse, and people around, waiting to make you speak ill of people and waiting to use you for their wicked example, but God is there for your good; He will turn this situation for your advantage and will keep you from sin and wickedness.

While people want to see you down, God through Christ Jesus want to see you up and He has done everything that is right and necessary to lift you up till the date of glorification in your life, He will keep you standing even when you are weak and overwhelmed by the powers of darkness. The devil want to see you in fornication and adultery by resisting and keeping you from finding a spouse, by keeping your marriage on fire and quarrelsome; the devil want to see you fall into sin through exposing you to the temptation of lust and evil imagination of sexual immoralities; he want to see you steal by denying you and your family the basic necessities in life; the devil want to see you live with guilt through delays and frustration that will compel you to compromise on the words of God and the standard you had upheld all these years.

The devil’s plots against you will not succeed; the almighty God is keeping you in His hands for His own and your own good; God is upholding you for His glory now and in the future; God is defending you for His names sake on earth; God is sustaining you for His testimonies to come in righteousness; God is delivering you because He had promised something better for you and this temptation will not destroy you.
