I AM HOLDING ON DEAR LORD

Post date: Nov 14, 2014 4:59:53 AM

God is quite able to adequately comfort you on every side, in every situation, in every location, and in any profession He had given you the grace to be engaged in; He is quite able to wipe away every tears, take off every stain, deliver you from every stigma and completely make you to be ahead in any competition: He is able to strengthen you far beyond your daily ability to wake up in the morning and show up in your place of work. His ability had been proven time without number and His willingness to do it again in your life is guaranteed in your salvation.

There are many things that discourages people in life, many in their own lives, many in family, many in spouse, children, job, office and all around; but your diligence and determination to hold onto the Lord Jesus in trust and in faith till the very end will definitely result in your receiving the blessings upon your life. I want all believers to know that the devil will never desire to discourage them if there is nothing divine in their lives that will glorify God.

Each day, Christians are faced with so many broken promises from people they have trusted; so many false hope from people they look up to for help; so many disappointing engagement from close and distant friends and colleagues: so many heart breaking news from family members and other brethren around the world. News of sickness, of death, of pains, of rejections, of delays, of destruction of properties, of forceful eviction and news of injustices even when the evidence is so clear to be denied. Most times we think of revenge and most times there is nothing to actually think of than to imagine and pray for our Lord Jesus Christ to come immediately.

But irrespective of what you and others around the world may see and experience, putting your faith firmly in the words of our Lord is the surest thing to do. This is because if everything else will ever fail, God’s words for you, His promises to you and the assurance we receive through believe and a strong faith in His ability alone will never fail. The surest thing to hold onto in this very life is your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; if everything around you is failing, let your faith in Christ never fail; the best assurance for a better tomorrow is not in what you have at hand now but in what God had promised and assured you in Jesus Christ.

Everywhere you go, there are thousands of Christians waiting for the Lord to do something new in their lives, and He will do them; waiting to see His promises fulfilled, they will be fulfilled; waiting to experience a renewal of hope, He will not fail in renewing you, and waiting to see the assurance for the future and their destiny as God had said: permit me to announce to you that your wait will not end in futility, your frustrations will not consume you, your disappointments and delays will be consumed by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, because your freedom in Christ had long been settled.

People may have refused to help you; refused to bless you despite your struggles and excellence; they may have refused to recognize your services despite your dedication and hard work; they may have refused to promote you, but God is there for you always, He will definitely make a way for you. “So then, brethren, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions and instructions which you were taught by us, whether by our word of mouth or by letter. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, Who loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and well-founded hope through His grace, comfort and encourage your hearts and strengthen them, make them steadfast and keep them unswerving in every good work and word. Because you have guarded and kept My word of patient endurance, have held fast the lesson of My patience with the expectant endurance that I give you, I also will keep you safe from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world to try those who dwell upon the earth. I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one may rob you and deprive you of your crown.” 2 Thessalonians 2:15-17; Revelation 3:10-11. For prayers, Click here
