THE LAST CRY

The last cry is always the most painful and the most rewarding. It is always bitter to the flesh but it can open ancient and impossible doors that had been holding us down. The last cry is not a cry of defeat or surrender but that of our ultimate victory. Do not let despair overtake you nor let frustration take its toll against your trust and hope in your expectations from God. Let this be in your mind, if God cannot do it, no one else can. Do not allow any satanic straws against you to overwhelm you, even at the last moment, Christ will not forsake you. When the devil is at his worst against you, you will be at your weakest level while God will be at His best to deliver you.

Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 “Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time He said, My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness. So now I am glad to boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That is why I take pleasure in my weakness and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (NLT).

I know that when it is tough, rough and unbearable, the body becomes weak, but just as Paul described, God’s grace is made effective, sufficient and powerful when we refuse to surrender even in our weaknesses and pains. It is normal to be weak, but refuse to remain in weakness, and to engage in sinful activities. Weakness is not a sign of failure, neither is it a sign of surrender, but a time to keep watch our thoughts and tendencies, and to commit ourselves to prayers. This is what Christ Jesus said “keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak” Mark 14:38 (NLT).

Did you know that Christ Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus? But His weeping did not stop Him from praying for the restoration of Lazarus back to life. Don’t let your weakness stop you from praying, amazing things can still happen even in your weakness, don’t give up yet.

We should know that Satan and all of his cohorts, irrespective of their loyalty, popularity and ability, can never, and will never be pacified in any way by any one in everything. Even when you surrender to then, they will never leave you alone. They are unjust even in the smallest favor they render to anyone, their cruelty is open from the beginning, they cannot change and you cannot change them, the only remaining thing to change is you and your situation, and that change is quite possible through Christ Jesus. Paul said he begged the Lord to take it away from him not Satan, and God gave him the grace to keep going despite the activities of the devil.

Did you know that Christ Jesus cried? At the tomb of Lazarus, He wept and prayed and Lazarus came back to life, but on the cross, under severe agony and pains, He not only cried, but cried with a loud voice, and at that last and loud cry, God the Father began remarkable things that amazed everyone on the scene that day and they confessed the Lordship of Jesus Christ until the day of resurrection. “And when Jesus cried with a loud voice, He said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit, and having said thus, He gave up the Ghost” Luke 23:46

Despite your feelings and concerns, pains and confusion, your cries are not in vain, you might have felt lonely and rejected as Christ Jesus did on the cross, but God our Father has heard your cry, and is set on doing in you what He did for Christ Jesus our Lord and savior when He cried. That last cry was painful but powerful enough to open closed and forgotten graves, setting the righteous free from the captivity of the devil forever. God’s ears are open to your cries every day. Don’t give up; lift up the banner of faith above your pains and you will see God lifting you up high above your cries. I do not know what you have been asking and trusting God for over the years, i do not know how many times you have cried, but this might be your last cry on that issue, our God will not ignore your cries forever. Never give up your trust even in your weakness.
