YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE

“I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].” Philippians 4:13. Poverty, sickness and satanic delays are no limitation to a life of excellence, purpose and focus. Wealth or lack is not barrier to aspiration; also confrontation, abuse and human cruelty against you are no barrier to being your very best. Delays, denials, and disappointment are not barrier to your doing that same thing or something else again in life.

There is power in you to begin something new, to have a new dream, a new prospective about your life that will bring new testimony. There is no limitation over anyone who God, in His love, mercy and power cannot take away. Limits are placed by men, individuals, society and the devil through the examination of past and present experiences. Limits are a product of wrong thoughts and imaginations concerning yourself, your ability, your location and the system of thing within the society or country you reside.

Many have resigned from aspirations and have refused to follow their dreams; they have placed limits to what they can do and to what they will be. They have placed limits on their tomorrow through their difficulties today. I will urge you to place a limit on sin and on any form of evil, never to go against the word of God, but never on what you will become in life through God’s grace, strength and wisdom. You have to take off every thought of limitation; it is not a coincidence that you have come to this place in your life, God brought you here for a purpose. Something bigger than your strength, thoughts and imagination is about to happen in your life. Something that will give you a hundred percent turn-around. Something that will give you the confidence you have been waiting for to declare that your tomorrow is brighter and very good.

Peter had an unforgettable experience in life: “Now it occurred that while the people pressed upon Jesus to hear the message of God, He was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret (Sea of Galilee). And He saw two boats drawn up by the lake, but the fishermen had gone down from them and were washing their nets. And getting into one of the boats, [the one] that belonged to Simon (Peter), He requested him to draw away a little from the shore. Then He sat down and continued to teach the crowd [of people] from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon (Peter), Put out into the deep [water], and lower your nets for a haul. And Simon (Peter) answered, Master, we toiled all night [exhaustingly] and caught nothing [in our nets]. But on the ground of Your word, I will lower the nets [again]. And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish; and as their nets were [at the point of] breaking, they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and take hold with them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.” Luke 5:1-7

After a very disappointing night, wasted effort and energy, when all hopes and expectation were gone and thinking it’s been the worse day in his life and carrier, Peter stood on the sea shore dejected and preparing to face the consequence of his failure and shame that day, our Lord Jesus Christ came to that same shore, that same place where Peter was at that very time with a request to use his boat. Peter reluctantly agreed, but that single action, with determination and readiness to do it all over again, changed everything about his life forever. Peter said: “But on the ground of your word, I will lower the nets again.”

Your worst enemy in life is your inaction, which is also the greatest barrier to your excellence. Christ asked Peter to put his disappointment behind him and do it again. Take off the limits in your mind and do it all over again. You can overcome that disappointment, that hindrance, that fear, and that shame. Peter went on to become the rallying point for comfort and direction for other Apostles of Jesus Christ. That is the word of God for you today. For prayer Click here
