KNOWLEDGE AND ACTION

What you know has the power to change your life-style when you diligently put them in practice. Who you also know has the power to quicken that desired life-style, when you believe and trust in the person. Your actions are completely dependent on what you know, and the two affects your level of progress in every venture. Knowledge is power, but every knowledge needs a supporting action to achieve its best result. The best you should do in what you know is to act on them appropriately, then the transformation you desire will be quick. Who you know in conjunction with that knowledge will help you along the way in sustaining you in it. The word of God is quick and powerful, but they are made very effective because of the God who empowers it, and what we do with what and who we knowledge matters. When you only act on what you know, without depending on the God you know, your road to success will be with lots of waste.

The woman with the issue of blood was a person with knowledge, but her knowledge could not help her until she was able to identify the person who holds the key to what she knew. She knew she was sick, she knew she needed a physician, she knew she had enough money to take care of her sickness, she knew the names of notable physicians in town to consult, she knew their locations, and actually went to them. But she never knew she had the right knowledge with the wrong method and people in mind. Because of that, Her knowledge was not enough to grant her the life-style she desired. The bible said, her application of knowledge was not profitable to her, until she was able to identify and actually go to Him who holds the key to the life-style she truly desired and know about. “And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed by any, came behind Him and touched the border of His garment; and immediately her issue of blood stanched.”Luke 8:43-44

David said: “I waited patiently andexpectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps andestablishing my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust andconfident reliance in the Lord. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods. Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; no one can compare with You. If I should declare and speak of them, they are too many to be numbered.” Psalm 40:1-5

David here knew what he wanted and he also knew who is able to meet his expectations and told himself ahead of time not to be in rush, but to develop the necessary attitude of patience and waiting on God for it. His waiting resulted in God inclining His ears to him at the appropriate time and meeting his expectations. God did not only incline His ears, He drew David out of every horrible pit he had been all along, out of every miry clay that causes his steps to slip, place him a new foundation, established him and also put a new song in his mouth

David knew he needed freedom, and He knew only God gives the kind of freedom he needs and he decided to wait on Him. Unlike the woman with the issue of blood, David did not suffer any waste. You know what you need, you know how to get it, but every effort had been filled with waste, why not do what David did, to patiently wait on God to step in or like the woman with the issue of blood, who said if only I can touch the helm of garment, I will have what I know I need and will live the life-style I need. Appropriate action on your knowledge will eliminate waste and will give you the desires of your heart.

David must have said to people He delivered and blessed me, and the woman with the issue of blood must have told people, He healed me. It is your time to tell of His goodness.
