I SHALL RETURN

“They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing. He who goes forth bearing seed and weeping [at needing his precious supply of grain for sowing] shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” Psalm 126:5-6

There is the hope that never dies irrespective of time, season and circumstances, and this hope is worth one being very patient and waiting with great expectation for its fullness to come. This type of hope is always far beyond the understanding of men of knowledge, men who look at things with the physical eyes, depending on their reasoning, and it is always far beyond the visions and dreams of the ordinary. It is a hope that cannot be explained with mere words, but is strongly believed, trusted and upheld beyond all human imaginations. The ordinary nature of all men is the strong urge to see things before believing, to know something before following, the feel the physical existence of things before attesting to its actual existence and to smell before expressing the sweetness of its aroma. This type of hope can only be achieved through believing God and God alone in all circumstances. Believing God will not only make all things possible, it will also bring you to the point of actual experience the things hoped for with thanksgiving.

My greatest joy in life is not that we can pray or preach the gospel of Jesus Christ freely, but my joy is that we are actually praying and preaching as much as the Lord gives us the grace and He is also saving and encouraging souls around the world. My greatest joy is not in our assumed state of perfection, but in the perfection of Him who had called us together to come out of sin and to stand in Him alone and claim His perfection (our Lord Jesus Christ). My greatest joy in not in our claiming His words and promises daily, but it is in His ability and willingness to fulfill that which He had promised when we remain steadfast in Him till the day of the promise.

Christ Jesus told His disciples with all confidence and assurance “I shall return” “Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me. In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you. And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. And [to the place] where I am going, you know the way. Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way? Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me. If you had known Me [had learned to recognize Me], you would also have known My Father. From now on, you know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:1-7. You may be crying today, but you will definitely return with joy.

As you participate in His salvation, in acceptance of His words in your situation, and in prayers, I am very sure that you will not return into the shame of your yesterday again. You will not return to the incapacitating stage of your past financially and otherwise. By His grace, the evil and difficulties that you have previously overcome in your life will not repeat itself. What you will encounter in your future will never force you to return to the shame and disgrace of yesterday. In every adverse situation, you will return with joy declaring the glory, the power and the blessings of the living God you serve. The words and promises of God for you are true, they are unfailing, and they are life changing. They give strength beyond the physical; they elevate hope and bring expectations to reality. If anything else will ever fail, it will definitely not be the word of God for your life. The word of God is the only existing and proven anchor that is capable of sustaining the failing world and empty promises of men today. Because you have prayed to the living God, please declare to yourself, “In all circumstances, I will surely return with joy and thanksgiving because my God has answered me.” Amen.
