“JUST AS YOU HAVE PROMISED DEAR LORD”

“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon him and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying,Sovereign Lord, now let your servant die in peace, as you have promised.  I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared for all people. He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel. Anna, a prophet, was also there in the Temple. She was the daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher, and she was very old. Her husband died when they had been married only seven years. Then she lived as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the Temple but stayed there day and night, worshiping God with fasting and prayer. She came along just as Simeon was talking with Mary and Joseph, and she began praising God. She talked about the child to everyone who had been waiting expectantly for God to rescue Jerusalem.” Numbers 23:19; Luke 2:25-32; 36-38

Has God ever spoken to you in any form concerning anything directly, indirectly or through the scriptures? I want you to know that whatever He had ever said, He will never fail to do and to act accordingly on whatever He had said? Has he ever promised anything to you or anyone that you know? I want you to know that He will not fail to carry it through irrespective of the delays and the frustrations and the time and the location and the situation you now find yourself in. Nothing had ever stopped Him before and nothing will stop Him now. Do not let go of your faith in Him, of your trust in Him and in His words, do not let in your heart of His words of joy, and never let go of your expectations in Him and from Him, He will do it. He promised Simeon and did it, He promised Anna, and He did it, He will also do yours.

Christianity is all about being saved by God through believing and trusting and fellowship with Jesus Christ as our only Lord and savior; it is about maintaining a strong and continuous trust in the word of God as written in the Holy Scriptures; it is having hope in God beyond what we can see and what we have known, and it is maintaining hope in God and in our expectations from Him every day, everywhere, and in everything according to His words, His promises, and His will for our lives knowing He who had promised is forever faithful, loving caring, had never failed, and will not fail this time around in fulfilling all that He had said and promised in His words to us. It is absolutely true that you have had an expectation for a long time now; you have trusted the Lord for them to be fulfilled for many years now; you have waited patiently and you have fasted and prayed; you have had joy when you remember the expectation and have had sadness when you know the expectations are delayed or had been delayed for too long; you have been consistent and you have been persistent in your faith and in your prayers; you have had dreams and visions of their fulfillment; you have maintained the desire to see God fulfilling all that you have presented to Him in your prayers and your expectations fulfilled; you have had confirmations and assurances from various sources that the expectations are right and true and very possible, and that it is the will of God for you; the Spirit of the living God had confirmed the same expectation to you personally and now, I want to assure you that every expectation you have had according to the will of God for your life will be fulfilled just as He had promised you. Our God is not a man that changes or is influenced and overwhelmed by of our weaknesses or by the powers of darkness; He is God alone and will bless you. For Prayers, Click here
