WHICH WAY DEAR LORD?

Post date: Apr 11, 2013 4:14:55 AM

There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12. “All that glisters is not gold”; you must have heard that over and over again, do not follow the appearance, some are very deceptive, exercise true discipline that will reward you hereafter and guarantee your peace; follow the words and command of God

Did you know that every one, every organization, every institution and every nation is looking for someone who will lead them pass the crossroads they face every day? Crossroads are never new; they exist in every profession, in every location, in every religion and in every individual. Your physical and spiritual position and location today, your wealth and the assurances that you enjoy today will not in any way prevent you from encountering a crossroad in life and asking the question, Lord, which way should I take from here on.

Irrespective of the severity of the crossroad in your life, please do not attempt abandon your good desires, your given dreams and your aspirations for excellence and godliness in your life to become great in your chosen profession and vocation. There is no life without a crossroad; you will surely encounter many crossroads on your way up and even on your way down. Crossroads are not the end point for your aspirations, but the beginning of discovering the very best, the most appropriate and proper, and the most rewarding and sustaining way forward.

Everyone will come to a crossroad sometime in life if you are not there already, and will be in desperate need of the most appropriate way to take, the best things to do and the best words to use in getting pass the crossroad forever and rejoice in the decision forever.  Crossroads are great moments for discovering something new, for self-realization and evaluation; they are moments to test your knowledge, ability, strength and reliance. It is a moment to prove to the world what and who you are. It is a moment of action that speaks louder than your words.

Even following every word of God, you will still encounter a crossroad. One of the very best and greatest questions you will ever ask yourself in your crossroad is, God, which way must I take now? Asking that question does not mean you are desperate for a solution but it means you are desperate for the direction that will produce the expected solution. Many have turn back at their crossroads only to regret later, but you should not. This was what Moses did when he reached a crossroad in his leadership on his way to the Promised Land with the family of Israel.

“And they said to Moses, Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way and brought us out of Egypt? Did we not tell you in Egypt, Let us alone; let us serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness. Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest. The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. Lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the Israelites shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Exodus 14:11-16

When you reach a crossroad in your life, take pause and ask Lord which way should I take and listen to what He will say. Remember, the Lord knows the best way for your next move “Behold, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The beasts of the field honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the  wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen, The people I formed for Myself, that they may set forth My praise [and they shall do it].” Isaiah 43:19-21.
