HOW CAN THIS BE LORD?

God will not speak to you because of today’s situation, but He will speak because of what He wants you to be tomorrow, what achievement He had planned for you, what changes He expects to see in you, and what purpose and plans He has for you. Before He speaks concerning any issue, He takes adequate consideration of everything about your life and will never take any of your current situations lightly. He knows your name, location, language, gender, marital status and your financial standing. He knows your educational level and your family size. And whatever He says to you are for your overall benefit that will surely change you and glorify His name in your life.

There is no doubt to what God will do in the life of a submissive Christian. Do you have any doubt about what you will become in the hands of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ? What story have you ever heard concerning your life now and in the nearest future that had triggered your heart of joy and raised your hope to live much longer than originally thought? What dream have you ever heard that you are quite convinced when fulfilled will affect your life far more positively than anything else, and will eventually bring honor and glory to you and your God now and in the future? What promise of God are you still doubting and thinking it was just a fluke to get you closer and hopeful?  None of God’s words should be taken for granted.

Heaven will never appeal to your imaginations and doubts concerning the promises of God and His words for you; in all things that will ever concern and any of His promises, heaven will only appeal to your faith and rejoices at your absolute believe, never on any of your questions of doubt and any of your fears. All that God is asking you to do is to accept and believe the promises as contained in His words and not to doubt the possibility of its being fulfilled. It is God’s duty to do as He had said while you hold your peace and your confidence in Him at all times and in all situations that will rise up against you thereafter. Abraham believed in the God who gave Him the promises and also accepted the words that was spoken and God did fulfill all that said in his life.

God sent angel Gabriel to Mary with a promise and a word to confirm He knew her, knew what was going on in the life of her relative, knew she was not married, but that with God, nothing will be impossible. All that Mary did was to accept the words and God did confirm all that He said to her through the angel. This was God’s intent for Mary.

“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. Gabriel appeared to her and said, Greetings, favored woman. The Lord is with you. Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. Don’t be afraid, Mary, the angel told her, for you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end. Mary asked the angel, but how can this happen? I am a virgin. The angel replied, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age. People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God. Mary responded, I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true. And then the angel left her.” Luke 1:26-38.
