I SURVIVED

There is no life without a challenge, and there is no challenge without a reward. Success, promotion, good living, victory all comes with costly challenges every day, but there is no cost too big that your God cannot enable you to pay off and there is no challenge too strong that you cannot overcome. Where our strength and knowledge are inadequate, God’s grace takes us over.

Did you know that the Christian race is becoming tougher every day and many are falling off the cliff, but you are still standing? Did you know that life challenges are becoming cumbersome every day and your very best of yesterday is nothing to be compared to the least good of today because, the demands are higher and the competition stiffer? But in all this things I am convinced with God on your side, your testimony will be, I survived them all. Congratulations for standing. If others then and now did overcome and are surviving, so will you.

Take a look at the life of Daniel. I survive was the first confession and a true claim from him to all the people who had gathered to watch his demise in the territory of the lions after surviving the greatest test of his life. Those watching to hear the contrary from you will be disappointed.

You might be thinking you are alone in your present ordeal; friend and colleagues far and near, may have deserted you, family members may have written you off and the news of your total collapse is fast spreading, but in every situation that concerns you, God is not absent even though He may be silent.

In the case of Daniel, though God was completely silent when the people were plotting evil against him, Daniel was not silent; he keeps praying over and over again until the very last hour. Even at the zero hours, Daniel did not give up hope; when He saw the lion’s den; he did not give up hope; when he did not hear any word from God in a dream or a prophecy, he did not give up hope. When the king ordered him to be thrown into the lion’s den, he did not resist. But when the expectations of his enemies were heighten for a final celebration, right inside the lion’s den, Daniel and the lions staring at each other, God showed up and Daniel was unharmed. When he came out, all he could say was “I survived”

Don’t ever think you will never survive what the devil may ever throw at you. Let the devil come with all of his plans in one day, God will step in to deliver you as He did for Daniel.

This was his report that faithful day. “My God sent His angel to shut the lion’s mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in His sight. And have not wronged you, my majesty. The King was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him, for he had trusted in his God” Daniel 6: 22-23

Brethren, the lions were big and very fearful but Daniel survived. The thoughts were scaring to the ears and painful to the heart but Daniel survived. The public humiliations were too much to bear but Daniel survived. There were no alternative ways to pacify the plotters of evil who were watching on him from all directions, but despite their expectations, Daniel survived. Friends, parents, close associates may have given up on you and given you over, Daniel survived, so will you.

Be strong and trust God like Daniel dear people of God, you will not be overrun by sickness, lack, pains, delays, denials, frustrations, and wickedness. The God of Daniel is still alive. Fear not, there will always be room for a good testimony from you despite the enormity of the attack. In your very test its challenges, you will stand out to say as David, I SURVIVED.
